All the members are singing in Would U but only Irene appears in the MV. Would U and Rebirth are not proper comebacks, they're SM Station songs, which is like a whole thing. The members individually have many more Station songs as well! Also Fun Fact: during the rap section in Ice Cream Cake if you remove the top vocal layer, you can actually hear Wendy rapping underneath Irene and Joy!!

Taeyong here cuz he’s under SM entertainment too EXP, SHINEE, GIRLS GENERATION, NCT U, NCT 127, NCT DREAM, WAY V, TVXQ, AESPA all this groups under SM entertainment, so in 2014 Taeyong was be traine in SM, 2016 he debuted in NCT U SM FAMILY

The SR14B refers to the SM rookie designation, Taeyong was an SM rookie introduced in a sort of "group" as a trainee (as was Seulgi, Irene, Wendy and Yeri). As RV debuted before NCT ever existed he wasn't introduced as NCT Taeyong yet (which is different from SNSD Taeyeon, the woman who you thought it was). Automatic is a hell song to try and pick out the members if you're not familiar with them lol.

Would U is not really a comeback. It's from a project called SM Station. It's basically SM Entertainment's way of releasing special songs that feature their artist (as well as artist from other agencies) that can range in genre and aren't made to be promoted. Would U featured 4 of the Red Velvet girls (Joy was filming a drama at the time) and the video was only featuring Irene as technically it wasn't going to be promoted anyway. At the start of their journey, SM really didn't experiment with their Velvet side (darker, edgier side) until later on. When you reach Peek-a-Boo you'll see that side. Although Russian Roulette had some of the darker tones within the music video.

One of These Nights is very emotional and sorrowful song. It is a tribute to the Sewol Ferry incident where lots of the young girls died. The MV showed symbols and the setting appears like they are in a ship/boat. The girls ended up locked inside the ferry and drowned. It was a very heartbreaking incident that's why I can't help but to feel emotional whenever I hear this song.

Just from looking at your list.. you missed RV's second "pre-Yeri" release "Be Natural." It's a cover of an old S.E.S. song, but still an important part of their discography. ( edit. I stand corrected. You included it. 👍) Even when Red Velvet does their brighter "Red" concepts, they never come off as overtly "cutesy" or cringe-Inducing.

they had quite a hard time when they debuted bc their company sm had lots of issues with jessica leaving snsd, the chinese exo members' lawsuit on sm, and others. they were hated quite a bit because of that and because some fans of f(x) were disappointed on how sm was treating f(x) since they didn't give them lots of projects yet were going to debut another girl group. the original happiness music video also had some issues bc of the graphics on it which led to more hate towards the group. people also weren't used to the rnb style of red velvet so be natural didn't get much attention. they started gaining success when yeri was added into the group. they call her their lucky charm because they got their first win with ice cream cake, which is yeri's debut song. now if you ask them what their debut song is, they say ice cream cake because it's when they are complete. you should watch 레드벨벳 from the "failure girl group" to "Nation's Pride"!

Red Velvet wasn’t even liked when they first debuted because they were being compared to the SNSD. They complained that Red Velvet didn’t know what their concept was because they went from happiness to be natural. But once Yeri joined in 2015, they got their first win with Ice Cream Cake. And from then on they got really popular for being able to do so many different concepts and make it work.

As i learned, their debut was v controversial and they did receive lots of hate, bc it was like an open secret that their debut was rushed or like they were a "cover up group" because at the time SM Ent was facing lots of huge scandals. Then Yeri also faced so much hate at a very young age since she was added to the group late 😔 So glad that she's well taken care of by her members and she's surrounded by lots of good people. But yup, they had a successful debut!! They charted #1 on the first hour on multiple charts, theirs was also the first kpop girlgroup debut single to be on billboard (#4), they also won their rookie of the year awards from major award shows 🥺 Their first music show win was ICC, when Yeri joined the group (btw it is pronounced like Yeah-Ri), their lucky charm!
