The longer the video, the greater the quality. I enjoyed this. Even from a reaction video, RV songs really are pleasant to ears.

With the song choices, the respect you gave the girls, and your obvious enjoyment of the material; I subscribed. You did an excellent job with the girls. I look forward to seeing what else you do with RV music.

The Queendom Archive teasers leading up to the release of 'Queendom' were so hype. We hadn't had a full group comeback for close to 2 years ('Psycho' was released December 2019 and 'Queendom' was released August 2021) while Wendy was still recovering from her injuries. Suddenly hearing the older songs (and the fun of trying to guess which song would play with each member's teaser before it dropped) and seeing all the references to past music videos really hit the nostalgia string in all of our hearts.

I bet! I juuuust heard about the accident yesterday, that must’ve been an awful time for the fandom. But I’m so glad she was able to rebound from it so well!

In my personal opinion, it is no exaggeration to say that Red Velvet is in its heyday after 'Ice cream cake'. I think other K-pop girl groups are telling you how great a group is to digest a difficult concept that doesn't even try. You can look forward to it from now on. I enjoyed the video!😊

The 'Ice Cream Cake' era is the most memories of Red Velvet, both happy and sad. The 'Something Kinda Crazy' live video you just watched is also a sadness of Red Velvet when they first debuted. I wonder if you've noticed? Joy's mic didn't work in the song's second half, and the other members' mics except Wendy were also quite unstable. But KPOP fans didn't think so. Red Velvet was criticized for lip-syncing in their first live performance at that time. The first impression was bad, some people even took that opportunity to start body shaming them and putting pressure on... KPOP fans initially did not accept and doubted Red Velvet's talent. Combined with the incident of senior f(x) in the same company around that time, it all combined to make Red Velvet have a very difficult start. But their vocals were real, they proved themselves and started to gain popularity quickly. You can learn about that time through this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYbcZX58a7F2pcksi=DvQTD9Evu6cxhPAw 'Candy', on the other hand, is a song that is loved by both fans and artists. I also know the song by heart and sing it confidently even though I know nothing about Korean. Once 'Candy' plays, everyone is happy even though the song's melody is quite sad! Haven't you seen any videos for 'Candy'? That song should be the song you can most easily find live/fancam, because it's a fan song. They sing Candy a lot, with a variety of scenarios such as: singing in the rain, singing in concerts, and singing at birthday parties, you can even find ReVeluv singing 'Candy' as a gift to Red Velvet! They also sang 'Candy' during the same live: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHObdWd4lph6q5Ysi=30ZUI4HA99YR2wyQ

Thanks for all the context! Couldn’t tell that Joy’s mic cut out, but it’s ridiculous to bash a group that just came out like that! I love the song too, so it’s unfortunate that it has such negative memories tied to it 😢 I didn’t see any videos for Candy, but I clearly wasn’t looking in the right places, adding this to my list and we’ll have a little bonus video next week to cover it 😊 Thanks again for watching and sharing

When you mentioned the cat in Ice Cream Cake, it made me think you should check out the "Queen's Archives" leading into their Queendom ep Then you go ahead and play them The Queens Archives were snippets of older songs. There were 7 of them, this one, one for each member, then a final one. Queendom was the first ot5 comeback after Wendy's accident

Haha yeah I was wondering what those were! So they were the lead up to the Queendom Album? That’s a cool way to tease an album!

I have to admit, I kind of slept on the group at first when they debuted. It took me a while before I figured out exactly what kind of group they were. It wasn't until late 2016 when I listened to the entire "The Red" album that everything fell into place.

The live performance came with some controversy. People thought the floor choreo (where you made the shocked face) was too suggestive since Yeri was still underage at the time.
@SylverReacts6 ай бұрын
Yeah I don’t love that idols debut that young, so I could see why people might not be cool with it, personally I think it was pushing the envelope a little bit for someone that young, not really stepping over the line
@SylverReacts6 ай бұрын
But also please companies, don’t be weird and sexualize idols who are underage it’s gross. Hoping that there’s a trend where idol groups only have members over 18, so they have more time to grow up. Anyway side rant over 😂 thanks for sharing the context!

Unconventionally for a kpop group, in RV there is NO MEMBER who is "THE" rapper. Any assignment of "main" or "lead" rapper by fans is a knee-jerk effort to pigeonhole them, to force them into the standard mold, which _just doesn't apply here._ The rap lines in RV songs are distributed according to the needs of the song and who sounds best doing them. ALL the the members, _including Wendy,_ have taken turns rapping. While an essential ingredient of kpop, "the rapper" is frankly considered the lowest status role in the group, that member gets the fewest lines in lyric distribution, least center time, etc., which is why many groups (especially in 2nd & 3rd Gen) ALSO try to give their rapper other, higher status, roles (Main Dancer [SNSD Hyoyeon], Lead Dancer, maknae [XG Cocona], leader [G-idle Soyeon], lyric writer [EXID LE, Mamamoo Moonbyul], etc.). The rapper is _maybe_ considered a lead vocalist at best, but is usually a sub-vocalist, not because she's bad at singing, but often because she has a low tone or dark voice that doesn't match the soaring soprano exalted by the kpop industry. And that's the MAIN, don't even ask about leads! Blackpink lead rapper Lisa didn't become truly noteworthy until she showed off her amazing dance chops and went solo.
