Track 10 from the album Afterthoughts. linktr.ee/redvo... Video by Vinny.

The numerous reference to past songs as well as the fact that Vinny has said many songs are sourced from his dreams makes me interpret this song as a “as long as I can keep making music, I will” kind of thing. Its a beautiful album ender that celebrates the joy of being a creative, even when the odds are stacked against you.

I might be exaggerating a bit, but it kind of reminds me of how The Beatles changed in so little time. From their boy band songs to their more avant-garde songs. Red Vox went from a hard garage rock to more ethereal sounding songs.

what I noticed towards the end of the music video is that the wacky psychedelic effects cease and it's back to reality, but it's not like reality is bad either. It can be beautiful. You don't have to be asleep to dream.
@eddyspaghetti621110 ай бұрын
To further iterate on this, there’s a hidden beauty in this song, like sure I can live life and accept reality, as long as i can dream.

I love how emotional this track is, it is perhaps my favourite one from the album. Even though it is a very tough choice to pick a favourite, I like a lot the general tone of the album, just as Vinny said it is very contemplative

Red Vox has always made in my opinion the number 1 best album ending songs. Every single album I’ve played by them has always been true masterpieces especially at the ending.

decided to relisten to this album since it's been a while since i've properly sat down and listened to a red vox song, as well as needing something to break up the monotony of only having listened to kpop for weeks. still as incredible as it was when i first listened to it. :D

Lyrics taken from bandcamp In the morning air At the window, yeah In the morning At the window These dreams, like a scene from your old life Through a cold and distant light There's a place, but there's no time These dreams, take apart your shallow mind In a way you can't define Like a bullet from the sky I know, I know, I know you can never get it back So don't be late and take another crack I won't complain as long as I can dream These dreams, when you live a double life And the stakes are just too high Grenadine and shepherd's pie These dreams, they can really change your life Are you ready for the dive Through the shallows and the cries Of those who chose to put it on their back The highs, the lows that make so many crack And so it goes, as long as I can dream As long as I can dream

This might me my favorite Red Vox song at this point, it gives me vibes from almost all the previous albums. It also continues the tradition of being an amazing album-ending song

this song is absolutely beautiful. The first thing I did when I got off of work was listen to the whole album. The cycle of emotions this put me through, man I wish I could feel them for the first time again.

Reminds me a lot of Stranded, just feels like a wonderful grand finale to this 2nd half of Red Vox(the post-Another Light era), but honestly feels like its an homage to In A Dream from What Could Go Wrong. Regardless, looking forward to the rest of what the crew has to show. AND MORE COLLABORATIONS!!! CHUCK BLEW IT OUT OF THE WATER WITH HIS TRACKS.

one of my friends said that Visions feels like a dream, with Afterthoughts trying to remember the dream (get ready for cheesy prob lame interpretation lmao) it's very fitting then that it ends with the birds, meaning going back into the dream and experiencing it all again though the colors are inverted, possibly meaning going back and seeing the dream in another light (lol)? that's what I see at least nonetheless, amazing work you guys !!!
@zombinary3138 Жыл бұрын
Yo I love this interpretation, thank you for sharing! It really fits the psychedelic trippy nature of the albums ^^

And seeing them in Another Light... even back in their first album, the had In A Dream. I love the theme of dreams being apart of many of their songs. Vinny said himself he gets ideas from his dreams, esp this album, during the premire. I just love it a lot.

i only found out about vinny and his bandmates earlier this week, but holy fuck just listening to this makes me want to scream at the top of the hills about Mike, Joe, and Bill being incredible at their own instruments. Very melodic and throws me back to early mornings in 2005 going to school listening to the radio hearing MGMT or Nirvana on repeat. Heres to hoping one day you guys can do a small tour id love to see it all live. You guys are fucking great at what you do.
