Here's something I posted elsewhere: "Glad you like it! As I said last night, this song kind of caps off an era/sound of Red Vox for now. It's the culmination of everything we learned from Another Light and is directly related to that album. Going forward we're going to be trying new things, both stripped down and more synth heavy. It's just kind of the natural course for me and the other guys to want to evolve and try different stuff. I'm glad everyone enjoyed this, but don't expect a Wish You Were Here or Animals from us in the near future. :)"

I get a vibe that this is a mixture of space and communicating to god. I couldn't hold back from commenting I just heard vinny's lyrics and they sound mournful, " I believe it when I die" saying "I can't hear you, I can't see you." It reminds me how faith is a concept that is not easily learnable if never opened up to. I believe in god, however I understand those that try or do not. either way I hope this value of an outlook.

yeah this is the best red vox song. the long, lingering verses, a single voice reaching out for long-gone connection... the slow breakdown of the speaker as they realize these are their last words, that they cant waste any more oxygen... the unexpected and almost sacred addition of the organ in the guitar solo before it slips into 6/8 time!!!! that instrumental section specifically was what canonized this for me as absolutely legendary. you really just have to lie down in absolute darkness and allow it to overtake you. fucking phenomenal so many years later

DavePyroRet For me, it’s a very unique blend of melancholy that characterizes Red Vox’s music. The tone in so much of his music to me captures the feeling of depression better than most art has, to put it in a weird way. Convaying feelings of loneliness and lyrics that speak on problems that feel almost insurmountable, with an underlining tone that’s less tragic and more empty. That might just be me, but that was what I grasped out of ol’ Vinny’s music, between listening to Room to Breathe, Ether Reality and Another Light and it’s what drew me in.

something i find really beautiful about the song is the mirroring of the intro and the outro. In the intro, vinny's character sends out a distress signal, desperately hoping someone receives it and comes to his aid. As the song goes on, he murmurs to himself, listing all of his past regrets. As his characters' consciousness fades, we switch to the perspective of the "Captain of the Pike", who's radar is pinging the stranded man's location. We switch back to the stranded man and hear a return to his distress call, asking if he's still alive.

I really adore Stranded and From The Stars, they hit REALLY hard, as, well nearly all of RV’s songs do. the way I see it, From The Stars is from the perspective of the loved ones for the person who’s Stranded, yelling and screaming at the person to stay, trying to show that they are here for them. Stranded starts off as the person is about to go away, ignoring the calls and signals being sent to them, but during the solo part is where they (figuratively?) fight back to stay here at least just a bit longer. it’s not their time to go yet, thus returning the signals and hoping they’re being received right back. pretty sure this is worded weirdly, I apologize, but man. Red Vox don’t ever stop what y’all are doing, these songs fucking hit hard and really do mean a whole to people like me. love ya RV ✨💖✨

Tons of Pink Floyd vibes on this one ( 05:30 is straight up Animals ) Love it, will make sure to preorder the LP eventually. Would do it sooner if it werent for hefty shipping prices for EU :Đ

I've been listening to Red Vox at school since last year. Let me tell you, it makes it go much faster. Its always good to see the notification. Thanks Vinny.

This is definitely my favorite Red Vox song ever. That part at 5:15 gives me huge The Wall vibes and the chorus and that whole solo section really gets me

I can't believe I listened to everything from Red Vox before hearing this absolute masterpiece, but I guess you save the best for last.

Great week. Captain Southbird continues his Beast Intersection series, there was a national holiday in the middle of the week, a new Red Vox song comes out and tomorrow begins a new season of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

The audio was so quality at the start, I thought the song was playing through my speaker, and not my headphones.

I just find it amazing that you can entertain myself and so many others in such a variety of ways. Streaming aside, your music really doesn't seem to have a label. Every song feels different and unique but at the same time, they all have the Vinny touch to them. Thank you.
