Aaron... very nice! I wish more boot makers did a dual density wedge...they last soooo much longer than a Cristy alone. My Timberland Gridirons came with a DD wedge and proved this to me. Since they don't make them anymore, and I have really wide feet, I have had them resoled, then re-welted and resoled again. I saw your video where you did this to the same model and it gave me confidence to hand them over to a local cobbler, who did an excellent job. Now I just need to talk him into doing what you just did here. If he won't, I just need to ship them your way, right?!? Thanks for the videos!

Great job! I wonder why Vibram doesn’t come out with a christy wedge sole covered with a Sienna top layer. The standard wedge sole isn’t very suitable as an outsole as it looses grip very fast and wears down quickly.

What is the effect of sacrificing an extra wedge outsole to create the double sole effect other than durability? Is it softer under foot? Probably lighter than adding another midsole?

Thanks, Well, these is a double sole Resole we can’t compare one with the other because they always go together, strider soles are made of rubber even though they are thinner they last longer , but again they both go together, If they were the vibram ripple it would be another story, because they are way thicker than this.
