If they’re small in population, no need to. If the deer, turkey, and rabbits start disappearing fast, they need to be thinned out. They are beautiful animals but managing the population is a must so other animals don’t go extinct. We have a bad coyote issue here. The mating season for them is now and I’m trying to kill some coyotes so turkey can produce many poults this year. The problem in the mountains here is flooding and coyotes and both of those keep turkey numbers lower than they should be.

That's awesome. We live in Graham, WA and there is a Red Wolf Conservation site behind us in this wooded area and we hear them do that every night. They're beautiful animals.

they really do sound like both wolves and coyotes. the deep voice and tone of a wolf, but the open mouth "yelling" & yipping of a coyote. i hope these lovely and strange animals can be saved.

So beautiful! But that one reminded me of a 1974 chevy I used to own. How it sounded on a cold start!! Lol.. We will call him chevy!! The red wolf saved my life in a dream. I woke up and was rushed to the hospital. Had that wolf not come to wake me i would have died. I had a heart attack during the night! He has come two more times and last week I was visited by a white wolf in my dreams who just didnt want to go home and kept laying at my feet!!

I had a pack that lived near me that howled all the time I was out one night and out of no where 12 or so wolves run out from The woods chasing a deer they had 6 pups following it was funny to see them stop when the deer ran across the street and walk back to the woods the pups are so cute I love when wolf pups try to howl and yip when they howl

Red wolves are coyote and wolf crosses. That's how they get their colouring and mixed howls.

They are actually their own species. A lot of dna is not found in gray wolves or coyotes, indicating they evolved from a canine not related to either.
