Cracking video! Love the quality of the edit 👍 it’s always hard when you don’t get the right efficiency. I’ve just found slowing my sparge to an absolute trickle increases my efficiency by 10%!!!

Cheers, my vids ain’t anywhere near as fancy as yours. I shot and edit on my phone. Think I’m going to try absolutely everything next week. Red x smash. Slow mash in, 4 mash steps, stirring all the way through, super slow sparge.

Cheers. I’m sure it’ll still be drinkable. As they say onwards and upwards. The good thing about this hobby. Even if you mess up, 99% of the time you still end up with beer!!!!

Nice video again Stephen, I've only brewed once with the Red X a David Heath recipe on my old GF, 4 step mash schedule, 52 deg for 30 mins, 65 deg for 30 mins, 72 deg for 30 mins, 78 deg for 10 mins, as i remember it came out well and was a very easy drinker, don't now how as i really didn't have a bloody clue what i was doing back then...Liking that new BT temp probe fitting...think i'll have to sneak one onto my next TMM order, hopefully the beer will be drinkable, just not a DIPA...

Yeah, I’m going to try that on my next brew. If that doesn’t work, I’ll have 20kg of red X for sale. Lol!!!!! I love the taste of it but it’s soooo unpredictable.

I feel your frustration. My last two brews have been spot on the numbers which is far higher efficiency than I'm used to. If only I knew how I managed it... Never tried Red X (well, in the car, but...) Be well interested to see how this turns out though.

It’s like a brewing lottery with red x. You might find a bag in the post if this keeps up!!!!!! Think we all did back in our younger years!!!!! Should be ready to drink by next weekend so I’ll let you.know.
