For anyone struggling with the toad head on, run away from it and wait until it does its jump move which you can dodge away from. Once it lands hold square and build your ATB. You might not build your vengeance gauge like the guide but you can cheese the toad this way. It works. The toad is the hardest one in this group. Love your guides! I hate these challenges lol.

Got this on my 3rd attempt but sadly I altered the build , opted for more hp vitality and cure . Tbh It was laziness on my part as I couldn’t be bothered learning to parry each enemy attack . Videos have all been great on my journey

Done following more or less the same tactics as yours, the only difference is that I removed the anti-poison materials and put on Time and Steady Block, being very careful in the last battle not to get into the Molboro poison... Thanks for the videos my friend ;)

The bird is the worst for me... Seems to be the wall i keep hitting. Maybe just bad rng... Got to the last battle but i dodged into purple haze and got paralyzed (even with max warding) and just killed me...

@@michaelhanson5773 The Warding+Poison/Petrify is to not get Poisoned or Petrified. Paralyze is a completely different debuff!

@@Naztalgic_Memories by the way did you know you can run away from the frog, and basically kite it the entire fight? You can technically do this with the Mastodon and the bird as well, but it's by far easiest with the frog. The only thing is you want to spend much of your time not dodging, only Dodge when it's jumping and about to land on you. It's an extremely safe strategy I found entirely by accident. But it works and it might just help people who are struggling. For the Mastodon you have to Dodge with a little more precision but you can pretty much do the same thing, and three firagas should be plenty enough to finish it off before your magic depletes. For the bird I just run and then counterattack every time it finishes an attack. You have to dodge while it's attacking but with the distance it's plenty easy. Thought I'd give this feedback and see how much it helps everybody.

Now I'm on to Red, your guides have helped tremendously but I was completely drained of all motivation yesterday as my last three vr runs in completed were erased by my ps5 getting turned off. So i had to redo Seventh Deal and Barrett vs fight. I still have to fo the heroes of the outerworld but i needed a break fromSephiroth kicking my ass.. i can get to him easily just kicks my ass every single time.

Guide worked great with me. Had no issues My best advice is do it on an earlier chapter in hard mode to avoid the changing voice after cosmo canyon. I still feel betrayed by what they did the to Red in rebirth ;( they made him more annoying than Yuffie after the swap. Wish you could disable it

For some reason The Gigantoad is the bane of my existence. Virtual Sephiroth was easier. Red XIII is not a character I used much so this torture.

I keep running out of MP half way through the toad fight. My MP Absorption is only Lv2, but I think what's really affecting this is that I don't have the Genji Glove yet. I think I'd get more MP back if I could do more damage. >>Edit: Ah, and my Magic Focus is only Lv3. Getting this to level 5 might do the trick.

I’m sorry for this challenge i think your guide is pretty poor. I have followed your guide for most of the other characters and it was ok. the technique for elephant and the toad has too many random elements and because you dont have a steady block its hard to survive. This really missies the mark. it is easier to play this normally with steady block than to try to zerg it like what you are doing.

@@haaria83 the video’s beginning says “showing you how to beat the challenge with ease” knowing how to parry well is not easy. The rest of the other character guides did not need you to parry at all and were easy. not everyone is a great video game player. If I knew how to parry perfectly everytime I would not be watching a guide I would have just defeated the challenge myself. I am trying to help other players who are following this guide and having a tough time basically adding the steady block will make this an easy challege
