...I liked the videos on replacing spark plugs. Very simple and useful for DIY people who don't want to spend around $1000, for spark plug replacements (for V8 engines) at MB facility. However, it should be recommended to use a torque wrench together with the MB torque chart, this will make a huge difference in terms of engine performance. All spark plugs MUST BE replaced at exactly the same torque specification, avoiding potential engine damage. A good/reliable torque wrench costs about $70.

At what mileage did this M177 have on it when you did the spark plugs? I have about 40k miles and thinking about doing this. Also those spark plugs that you took out were in really bad shape.

im new to the platform, good vid, where do you buy your parts from? I usually go to ecs tunning or fcp euro for my bmw parts but they dont carry plugs or coils for the C63s amg

They should be torqued to 20 ft lbs..those are aluminum heads..

No, NGK, if you have Bosch someone must have changed them out. But you can use what ever you want

How did you remove the wiring to get to the back two plugs?

Probably that is in part 1 of the video believe it's just one or two screws that hold the wire harness just remove it and comes out

Yes that part was the easier side to get to but how do you do get to the back two is hard part ?

The back 2 wasn't that hard same as all the other just take your work the wrench in

redbaron2448 driver side had the fuel line in the way and those coils are very tough to move but got the job done. Thanks

What's the mileage on your car? How often do they need to be changed?

Mileage is 40k on car, change every 40-50k for best performance and mph

Do you know the torque spec?

There is no torque spec once it's all the way in and tighten you give a quarter-turn just snug. . If you torque spark plugs you risk over-tightening and pistons will hit

You never covered the back plugs. There’s a fuel line on one side and then something on the passenger side

Didnt have to, there all the same, socket will fit around the fuel line, easy peasy

redbaron2448 but on the passenger side the tube is hard and literally right on the last bolt and over the coil pack. How did you even manage that?

@@rostos20 Easy peasy , I have small fingers. You might have to take Swivel socket with extension if you have big hands
