REDBIRDS vs PHOENIX | Como Blitzball 2023

The #1 Ranked Blitzball player in the world, Adam Knudsen, faces his former team the Redbirds. The Redbirds had an insane 2022 campaign and won their 2nd World Series championship. Things are very different this year though... Knudsen started his own franchise with the Phoenix while Chandler Sartain has to lead an Adam-less Redbirds. Now that isn't saying this Redbirds team is in deep waters, as they have started the season 1-1 and looking like a team that can make a playoff push at the end of the season. Redbirds captain Chandler Sartain believes this game determines whether their team is legit or not; Can they take down a team that seems to be hot at the right time?

Fireon just needs time to improve and work on his location. Pitching a blitzball effectively isn’t easy, it takes a lot of time to get used to, even if you pitch in baseball. Also teams don’t usually become instant contenders, especially brand new expansion teams.

Postgame thoughts: 1. Defense was the difference here. Redbirds played great defense while the Phoenix made some costly defensive mistakes that gave up runs. 2. Props to Adam going at Chandler. No one wants to watch Shohei intentionally walk. Let the stars play. 3. Drew is the frontrunner for Most Improved Player. 4. This could've been like LeBron's first game at Cleveland as a member of the Miami Heat, so good job on the fans for not booing Adam.

With the speed limit in play, good hitters are always going to hit their homers. Without being able to blow it by at 90, I think good pitching now becomes about throwing strikes and not giving away extra runs by walking batters
