Amen. I’m 55 years old and I grew up in the 80s when this was super popular and I am still impressed to this day about the work that goes into these peoples craft. It is not easy even when I was that age my goodness to be able to move like that is a gift, and it takes a lot of work to be able to do those moves that woman from Australia that got into the Olympics. The story behind that is a really just because her and her husband allegedly put the committee together about put her and moved her forward into that spot to get in the Olympics and she didn’t deserve it other more deserving people missed out on that spot to get in. I might be 55 but I still am super impressed by this and it is like watching moving art.

Sone of these were Olympic contestants, but none of them let loose at the Olympics, the Olympics breakdancing was mediocre, I don’t understand why they didn’t let loose and do some of this craziness. They were all afraid of points off if they messed up. So we ended up getting lame performances. I almost say that I don’t blame the athletes, but I do, you gotta take a risk to impress the world. The world was not impressed by breakdancing 2024.

Ikr!? Something wasn't right with the Olympics Breaking...
@bestmatch31705 ай бұрын
@@Hex_Hub_Plus Basically, this is all of IOC and WDSF's fault. IOC selected sports governing body that overseen the sports enter the Olympics. World DanceSport Federation are governing body that runs international ballroom competitions in several categories. They wanted ballroom dancing in the olympics. However, The IOC rejected the idea of ballroom dancing, they wanted something targeted towards the youth. So WDSF pivoted the pitch, breaking. Somehow they managed to convince the Paris officials and the IOC to allow them to run break dancing for the olympics, despite the fact they were not a governing body for break dancing. The end result of all this politics is that to qualify for the olympics you have to be a member of the DanceSport Federation. Australia has a Dancesport Federation, which of course was not involved in breaking at all. Then AusBreak, this small breaking competition based in Sydney. They are essentially a small group of friends who run break dancers that run a competition every year, connected with DanceSport Australia and managed to become the break dancing representative for DanceSport Australia.

Watch them all in full. Hit the "live" tab and pick any year. You won't be disappointed. Great way to spend a rainy day. 🙃

I was just thinking how he's evolved over so many years, so smooth, so many variations. His Durability is admirable. Ever see his training video where he does "endurance breaking" against whole crews? Monster, lovely monster.

The amount of comments drawn here because they saw one routine on social media they didn’t like, in the Women’s category in the Olympics, asking “why didn’t these people compete?” when only the women’s have competed so far AND some of these competitors DID compete and WIN… Cmon people
