Wing crashed twice in the last round. He used most of his signatures in his battle with Issei and lots of his arsenal against lil zoo. Going into this battle he had to execute what he had left, and for the first two rounds he did. Unfortunately those slips cost him. I thought he won the first two rounds, but the slips in the last round cost him that round, and going into the final decision, although they look at overall performances, execution is so important.

I honestly would've argued that Wing won if it weren't for his two crashes at the last round. I don't think this should be considered a robbery, as Menno was really clean in all his rounds and brought out unique moves. Don't get me wrong though; I really appreciate Wing's style and hope that he'll come back even stronger next time.

At first I thought that Menno really is overrated, but then after rewatching one particular battle (Menno vs Blond, RBBC1 '14) over and over again, I can see that he truly is one of the greatest bboys too. He may not have flashy power moves, but then his flow is always amazing. This kind of thoughts, like title robbery and stuffs, happens in most of competitions though. I still remember myself questioning why Scotty Cranmer (BMX) didn't win gold at certain events even though his moves were sick. Just recently I come to believe that the judges know their stuff. Haha.

This was such a dope year because Every Bboy was showing love at the end of the battle no matter how intense the bboys were during the battle. They all had respect in the because they gave it their all. Good.

Bboys should understand why Menno won. His execution was better and Wing didn't bust any of his big power moves against him not to lose points for repeating them (after using them against Issei) so was hard for him to have an advantage on pure style. Both Wing & Menno have strong rhythm and variation, but Menno has slightly better form in this battle. If Wing busted more power moves or Menno was a bit less smooth, it would have went to Wing for sure.

Only 3 rounds for a final is kinda insane, but it's also insane how people still don't respect Menno. A lot of commenters give the first round to Wing but I disagree. While clean, I felt like Menno did a lot more and executed just a little bit better. Second I give to Wing; Menno was sloppy and didn't really do much compared to what Wing responded with. Third round is rough because you can tell they are both tired and stressed after having battled the whole day under those hot lights. Menno didn't do anything super crazy and had a pretty awkward pause at around 2:40 (I think he was trying to hit the beat with it at a freeze but he missed it and just looks weird imo), but Wing's execution was not there and he had slight slip ups/crashes on 2 of his signature moves. At the end of the day it was very close and you could tell they were both a bit gassed. Wing's biggest issue imo was that his combos and signatures are generally so clean and so recognizable that when he messes up (even slightly!) it's very noticeable. Overall though this was a great final and event, just put some respect on Menno's name lol
