Since Vouilloz/Gracia time, kids in France are building jumps, tracks everywhere possible. Spent countless teenagers' hours riding with friends and having fun whatever the weather. I think that riding culture from a young age explains partially Frenchie success.

I’m from the south of France and me and my mates build as many jumps and ride as much a we can but the government is not exactly behind us, jumps have been destroyed quite a few time. Otherwise riding is sick down here !

Freakin Frenchies!! If its 2 wheels they winning! MTB to Road Touring. They flat out dominate! Most victories of all time as a country on bicycles in all genres but BMX.

Mountain biking in the US has been a rich kid / dentist sport. If our top athletes got into cycling the French would have a run for their money.

Their federation takes it seriously - and treats it as important as road/track. Not all countries do.....

That's where you're wrong ! There's not that much real trail in France, most of them are totally illegal... So we just find some forests and build jumps, and trail to go down, to go high as much as we can. I built nearly 4 different trails, and the authorities were never behind my friends and me... But we do it regardless, because if we don't, no one's gonna do it for us

The federation is mainly supporting and broadcasting road biking, not MTB, and this is REALLY irritating. The french federation support for MTB is a unicorn.

Si on enlève l’US Cagnes qui est une usine à produire des champions de descente, on est une nation normale avec des bon champions qui apparaissent de temps en temps comme A Pierron et Coulanges. Pas plus pas moins que les Britt Aussie ou US. On est une nation forte de vtt mais l’US Cagnes est l’anomalie et qui fait qu’on domine autant, on va le voir encore bientôt avec Hugo Marini

@@julienbeck883 oui j’avais compris 😆c’est pour ça je disais personne ne vient du Jura à part absalon 😂 et à la limite bailly maitre mais pareil c’est plutot xc qui a tendu vers l’enduro. les autres Thirion pich etc viennent des Vosges qui pour le coup est ou plutôt était une terre de dh mais il y a même plus de circuit régionale donc normal que plus aucun jeune ne sorte de la bas

No one knows and it doesn't matter.. actually the French win so often because their training runs are 2 to 3 to 4 times as difficult as the world championship runs.. and all the other countries should do that as well if they want to be faster and win more..
