REPLAY: Diving off 27m into Sydney Harbour at Season final | Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2022

While the weather is cooling down in Europe, things will be heating up in sunny Sydney in October. Following exciting action around the globe, the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series concludes with a first-ever visit to Australia, where two champions will be crowned at Fleet Steps in The Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney Harbour. All eyes will be on the reigning and five-time women’s World Series champion, Rhiannan Iffland, who will be hoping for a majestic homecoming to round off the season, while the men’s title tussle will also be settled from the purpose-built 27m platform in the middle of the harbour.

I don't care what kind of gymnastics are done before hitting the water, BUT if you don't go in head first it's not diving. It's a fancy jump. But Red Bull Fancy Jumping just doesn't draw in the views,

High diving Main article: High diving A recently developing section of the sport is High Diving (e.g. see 2013 World Aquatics Championships), conducted in open air locations, usually from improvised platforms up to 27 meters (89 ft) high (as compared with 10 meters (33 ft) as used in Olympic and World Championship events). Entry to the water is invariably feet-first to avoid the risk of injury that would be involved in head-first entry from that height. The final half-somersault is almost always performed backwards, enabling the diver to spot the entry point and control their rotation.
