Bigger than Everts?
@walken1993 жыл бұрын
@@RedBullMotorsports ok so on paper Everts is the biggest champion but let’s not forget that he was champion in 2001 and 2002 in the 500cc category and so the competition was divided, I think we can all agree that the main category in those years was the 250 class. Evert was a great champion but I don’t think his championships had the same competition as Cairoli’s did. And then I think I that Cairoli raised the bar in sport, everyone had to figure out a way to become more professional and train that much harder. I would say that he probably would’ve beat Everts, he was more aggressive and dealt with pressure extremely well. In the end I think he’s nine championships have more value than those of Everts, that’s just my opinion.

He is the greatest for me. I did racing 35 years for myself in local championship. And i saw a lot of riders in world championship. Started with Andre Malherbe Thorpe Jobe Geboers. Everts. They all was amazing. But Tony did all little more perfect. And most important. He never changed his personality. He is so friendly and open guy. I was this year in Teutschenthal. It waa my Daughters dream to see him at his last race in Germany. She is 10 years old and also a big fan of him. She will never forget this day also as Tony was little injured and cant race 100%. But this was not the point. To see him was important. A fantastic person. And nobody can top him for me. For ever. Thank you so much Tony that i can enjoy you so many years. It was a pleasure to see you racing.

Thanks for the memories TC! You'll go down as one of the best all time in MXGP. Wish we could of seen you in the US championship for a full season and in supercross, with your style you could of been a real player in the stadiums. Good job in Paris too. Hopefully we'll see you at a couple US nationals, the rumors of you coming too America have been floating around. I know it won't be a full season but I could see you winning for sure even on a ktm with a production rule. The tracks aren't nearly as rough, MXGP top riders are faster that our top guys just from the fact all you guys train for and test for is motocross, you guys are some comfortable and the bikes are dialed. Here we focus basically on just supercross, they ride, train, and test from end of outdoors until January at A1 and then the top guys only get 1-2 weeks of testing before the nationals start. Guys that aren't battling for a title with try getting an extra few weeks to get dialed for outdoors to gain an advantage but it's still nothing like what the MXGP guys get. I'm surprised we still have a pro motocross series honestly and they havent made a longer supercross series or somethung since all the money is in supercross and moto has almost become a hindrance in their supercross prep. In the future I could see MXGP guys still focusing on only one series, motocross, and the US guys focusing on just one as well which would he supercross. Maybe add a couple extra rounds similar to MXGP, 19 supercross races? Haclve a couple extra weekends off in-between certain rounds for the riders, and then prepare for it to start again. Personally outdoors is my favorite to watch so I always want to see a 12 round outdoor series. However, supercross and arenacross tracks are my favorite to go ride. Supercross is flowy and you don't have to ride over your head speed wise to make it fun and challenging, outdoors you have to go so damn fast just to make it fun and challenging and thats where injuries come into play, which I can't afford anymore. Lol. But there's a huge difference between riding supercross and racing supercross, racing supercross at that level is so gnarly, you have to be 100% on point or it's going to be a bad day, there's no room for mistakes and that's why it's so hard to keep guys healthy in supercross. It's not the tracks doing it, it's how hard they push on those tracks and ride the razors edge which you can only get away with it for so long. They practice like they race too so chances are high to get hurt in practice. But just riding supercross for fun, hitting the triples, going through rhythms at a comfortable pace in my opinion it's safer than moto, until you ride race pace and push for every 10th of a second and then its really dangerous.
