Only me again in Ontario Canada. You may have noticed that many of the Roadways in Orange Grove and Bridgemount Hights are named "Banana". Prior to the 1970s. that area was a massive Banana Plantation. (Colocally known as Banana Walk. The Matalon Brothers built Orange Grove in the 1970s and individual owners built the Bridgemount Heights Area. Enjoying Your Videos, although they may be from months ago Take Care Now! I am getting my fill of Your outstanding reminder of my Younger days. Thanks 😢😮❤
@RedButtonJournal10 ай бұрын
Hello again! It's truly fascinating to learn about the transformation of the Orange Grove and Bridgemount Heights areas from a massive banana plantation into the neighborhoods they are today. The naming of the roadways as a nod to their "Banana Walk" heritage is a wonderful way to preserve and honor the history of the land. The Matalon Brothers' development in the 1970s marked a significant change, shaping the community into what we now know and explore. We're so glad to hear you're enjoying our videos, even if they're from a few months back. It means a lot to us to know that our content brings back fond memories of your younger days in Jamaica. Sharing these discoveries and stories with you and others who have personal connections to these places is what makes our journey so rewarding. Thank you once again for your support and for enriching our understanding of Jamaica's rich tapestry with your insights. We hope to continue reminding you of the beauty and history of Jamaica with each video we post. Take care, and we look forward to bringing more of Jamaica to you, wherever you are!

Beautiful video. Just to let you know, the original Orange Grove was a development by one entrepreneur, that's why most of the houses are so similar. However, as you moved further in, the houses were built by individuals. Those houses on the hill are part of lower Stony Hill. Keep up the good work guys. You show us places that no one else on You Tube does.

It's funny where I'm from in Massachusetts they have some of the most beautiful homes so I'm not really surprised to see these. Some are made of bricks some very regular siding lot of million-dollar homes in Massachusetts. Those homes are looking at if you go to Florida online California Arizona Nevada and Georgia you'd see some of those concrete homes where Jamaica was inspired by. These houses in the lower part of the states were there for hundreds of years, that's before Jamaica start making brick houses they used to have fat houses. However I have to say Jamaica has some very beautiful homes.
