Mrs B H ... Loved Redcar in the early 1970's.. There was a lot to see including seaview seating from the Victorian era

My old stomping ground back in the 70's and it was a great little town then with so much to do, people used to come from all over for a day/night out in Redcar, but it's now sadly died a death like so many of our towns and cities

My home town and dormanstown, from 1966-1985, came back briefly in 2017 but just for 6 months......old footage certainly looks better. Well put together.

Quite an achievement by the people in charge over the years to make things look awful in modern times in every single image.

Just putting boats on the boating lake would be an improvement. Crazy golf on the Stray. A cafe on the front that actually has a sea view. A deck chair kiosk. Not much to ask.

This is what you get when you spend 50 years aborting your progeny. Well done, Tavistock Institute.
