So so pleased to see Bob healthy. 'Mortimer and Whitehouse gone fishing' is absolute TV bliss

The "shit in the woods" censor is the best I have ever heard, perfectly timed to be absolutely ineffective as was most certainly intended. I need that as a ringtone. I cannot listen to it without laughing. These guys are truly unique and irreplaceable.

Been a fan since the 80s. I had a friend with a VCR and we had to record it because we kept laughing so much. So we'd record this half hour show and it'd take an hour or more to watch it because of the laughing and improvs while the VCR wobbled like a jellyfish on pause like they did back then. Good times.

God, i pissed... i came late to this pair, even though my mate had said to me, "just watch Big Night Out, and give it a chance to grow." Then, one night in 1994, i think, i was travelling to my old university town and phoned my former housemate to say I was on my way... all he could say was, "I've got something for you to watch." The first thing he did when we sat down back at the house (I think we met in the pub first and he wouldn't tell me what I was in for) was (?the first) episode of The Smell of Reeves & Mortimer. These two have had me in stitches ever since. That Lovejoy interview... i was crying!!

I can tell from their work that at-least one them is an absolute perfectionist. Bob was the creative force behind them (I think). I loved "Vic" but always felt that left to him the output would have been too unrestrained. True legends.

Not unwatchable but annoying. It is the camera work that is worse. Too much zoom, constant movement: better would be a fixed two person shot, plus one camera switching between speakers, then edit together? Less seasickness ensues.

Great expression from the book "The Borstal Boy" back in the day it was an institution for unruly boys (simplification) was 'My China'. It meant my best friend, I know him, he knows me, quirks, secrets, fears etc. My china was Peter back in the day but, we didn't have as funny or as long lasting a relationship as these two muppets. Drink, girlfriend jealously and other bullshit got in the way. Whats the lesson, treat your friends with a bit more respect. That's a bullshit lesson. Be lucky
