I just purchased one, but can I use the Tamiya 7.2V battery with the included conversion harness?

I believe so. Verify in the manual that your esc is set up for the battery type you are using. I.e. lipo, NiMH, etc...)

The battery we used for this was the NiMH. You can use 2s lipos on it, but you need to make sure the jumpers on the esc is set properly for it.

Not really sure. I was getting around 40 mins of play with it on the 1 battery charge I had. This belongs to a good friend of mine. I will reach out to him and get a life span on it for you.
