I finally received the Hobbywing 1080 G2 ESC and programmed it with a 9VDC battery to your settings instructions. I also cut off the crawler modes yellow and white wires and put heat shrink around the wires to keep them out of the way. Cheers!

Unless like my wife .. she buys stuff for me and surprises me alot .. she has insurance on house mostly for the r/c stuff . . She bought most of it when i couldnt see myself buying it

You can set low voltage cutoff on since your powering the servos thru the external bec.lvc will only affect the driving and not hopping

The internal 1080 bec weak amp rating it trigger a brown out if you run 2 servo (rear) same time. Thinking the new version might be same even set at 8.4v cuz of 6a limit.
