What is really annoying, is that person who tries really hard might have never scored high, and is always being robbed. If you get unlucky and you get these troll voters every week, you could really be struggling even if you are putting out good dreamsnaps. This is just kicking those people while they are down.

I would Love if we could MOVE or REMOVE the little ponds in our valley as sometimes they get in the way of ur wanting to build stuff..AND would u think it would be a good idea if they could bring out Bridges in the game so we can walk over them or put them over the ponds ?? What’s your thought ??

This is what I've been saying. Reddit shows/brings the worst out of people! This is also why I've been so cynical when it comes to submissions and the way I vote. I know theres trolls out there that just make submissions that they know are pet peeves of people. (Selfies in outfit challenges, indoor shots that show the dark borders.) Now that Gameloft started punishing submissions like the infamous tomato one. Now we just know it's not just submissions that might be trolls but voters too. As far as the comments compared to upvotes. The worst people on Reddit are mostly silent. Lurking. Not saying all. But a good amount.

I started getting frustrated with my dreamsnaps and thought I was taking it too seriously. I took about 3 weeks off and finally came back for villanous lair and this current critter one. I feel much better and came back to it a lot more refreshed. I’ve also started managing two accounts since they refuse to give us stars in the night sky on PS5 😂 All in all, dreamsnaps are fun again and I’m glad i took a small break from it.

Wonka Gate, oh boy, so in Glascow, Scotland, someone used AI to make fake ads for a Willy Wonka event, paying real money to come to a magical, colourful, Wonka factory, well it was all lies, kids would show up to this event with their whole family just to be met with an almost empty warehouse with just a few things scattered around, actors that were hired to play Wonka, an Oompa Loompa, and one of my favourites, a completely random made up character that jumped out on kids to scare them called The Unknown they were all given scripts written by AI, so NONE of it made any sense, spelling mistakes all over the place, and when the actors said this they were told to just make it up, improvise, so they did, the actors did incredible for what they had, they really tried, but the event was a DISASTER, the police ended up coming down, kids crying, luckily everyone got their money back because it was obvious it was a scam, and one of the worst things is the actors never got paid for their work, they have since gained internet fame and hopefully their careers blow up, besides Wonka because apparently hes erm... not a good person, but my god the memes that came out of this were HILARIOUS

Something I did not realize for an embarrassingly long time, was that the bluish arcs from the time bending tool led you in the direction of where the item was. I thought you just kept trying the tool in random areas until you got the yellow & then orange arcs. Bc of this, I hated time bending, but now that I’ve learned how to properly do it, I love it ☺️

I honestly think the dream snaps are fun now matter what. I got the game for Christmas and right now I’m just trying to at least get enough dreamlight to get the forgotten lands so I can do the remembering and get the forgotten right now. Sometimes I take pictures and have everything I need for the dream snaps without even knowing it and it’s a blast!

I got about 3 doors so far since the update and I now own all the wallpaper and floors so that section is now permanently empty 😂 I do hope they bring us more doors or colour schemes for existing ones like the townhouse skin.

We don't know EXACTLY how tags are figured into the results, but why not just hide items and max out your tags as much as you can to increase your chances at a higher rank? I am not even preaching the importance of tags anymore bc I feel like it falls on deaf ears. At this point, people who don't believe in their importance probably never will, and people who believe in their importance always will. It no longer matters what evidence I can show or the proof that I can give. So I'm not wasting my breath explaining it anymore. What I AM saying is why not?!? Just create a dreamsnap that makes you happy and hide as many tags as possible. What does it hurt? I know it's easy to get wrapped up in wanting a high ranking and trying to figure out exactly how to get it, but there is no surefire way to get a high ranking. Many random aspects that you cannot control affect scores, like what people are expecting to see, what events are going on surrounding that week (like updates or holidays when people are not voting as much), how often your snap is shown, the snaps it's paired up against, etc. What we do know for sure is results are made up of voting and tags. So do your best to create a snap you find attractive, try to stay on theme and include as many tags as you can (bc why not?). I'm much happier (and actually tend to rank higher) when I just let go and do my snaps that way. You are totally right that sometimes we get caught up in results and lose the fun of dreamsnaps, and having fun should be the whole point. ❤

The dreamsnap feature is definitely a plus when it comes to collecting moonstones but others involved can sometimes take the fun out of it

I think we set the bar for ourselves when it comes to Dream Snaps. In the beginning many dream snaps were simple and aesthetically pleasing, but as time passed, things evolved, as they always do. Expectations rose, standards were set, and even though voting is subjective we set the bar based off other's opinions. Use content creators for example. (No Star, I'm not picking on you! 😂 ) Anyway they are called influencers for a reason. One thought or opinion (right or wrong) from them is taken as the gospel truth by many. I have seen content creators say something is off on someone's Dream Snap and that person go and redo their whole dream snap when the dream snap was actually good to start with. It's human nature, as much as we say we don't care, we do care about other people's opinions. It gets tougher and tougher to make something just simply good, because we expect better, even of ourselves.

Console players need increased item limit badly, not alittle badly, but really badly. Too many ideas for village but l run out after 3/4 biomes. 😢 My GF just hit her item limit on her game and tried the extra limit button......Oh man was she disappointed. And her village looks way better than mine, and still has lots to go. Increase item limit within the game.

I know not everyone can do this, but if you also have the game on another platform that does allow you to increase the item limit, if you do it on that platform then go back to the other platform, the item limit is increased on there as well. I discovered this when I moved from Switch to PC.

Im having kind of harsh times to poses, scenarios and Items. Downvoting (voting for/against a certain criteria instead of the best picture) is so toxic. There’s no way of knowing who is actually new vs. who has plenty of items and simply chose not to use them! Additionally, new players will only be new temporarily; they’ll survive a few losses while they work their way up like everyone else - and like in every other game, the rewards tend to increase as you gain experience and improve your skills. So this idea of pity-voting supposedly “newer” players right off the bat -especially at the expense of skilled players who put in a lot of effort is ridiculous and is why people get robbed. People did this nonsense in Covet Fashion all the time. I will never understand this mentality and I agree it’s very frustrating and upsetting. Thank you for the video and for speaking up about it. 💖

Well, it was an outfit challenge, so maybe that's why you did well. Personally, I like to vote for what the challenge is about regardless of background or outfit. I'm not a fan of people voting for the whole dreamsnap when it's an outfit challenge. Background can be an added bonus if you're trying to paint a picture for that outfit, but it's not supposed to make or break the vote. Decor challenges and matching/coordinating outfit same situation. Outfit in a decor challenge shouldn't make or break the vote.

I've gotten 4k about 10 weeks in a row maybe more...was 11th for dapper and #1 for arrendelle. I usually finish my dreamsnap in one evening but then take the rest of the week picking at it or getting the best shot I can. I put hours for each dreamsnap but I like it and have the time. Putting effort in shouldn't be penalized.

The voting only for the worst dream snap is ridiculous. They can't expect to be a new player and receive all the best rewards from the start. It doesn't work that way and everyone has to start fresh in any game with less. By voting only for the worst they exempt those that have worked super hard to get what they do have over months and months, even years in the game compared to someone who has just joined the game. That's not right either. The "have not's" are no more entitled, than the "haves" when it comes to dream snaps voting and rewards. You're rewarded based on the effort you put into each dream snap and overtime you build from there. I vote based on one's efforts rather than what they have and don't have.

How can you tell how much effort someone put into a dreamsnap? If two people take a dreamsnap of them just standing somewhere in their valley and one of the valleys is decorated while the other is not then realistically both people put the same amount of effort in right? Someone can spend hours on a dreamsnap and create something that looks very average while another can spend 2 minutes and create something amazing so how do you really know the amount of effort that went into a submission?

Voting for the worst dreamsnap does not surprise me. We live in this twilight zone where everybody wants to be equal regardless of how much effort they put into something. It’s not just ruining dreamsnaps, it’s ruining society as a whole. It’s making us all stupid and mediocre at best. People who actually have work ethic and ambition lose all motivation when they see lazy, uneducated, unproductive people get pity trophies over people who have studied, worked hard and have honed their craft for years. These people will tell you that they are doing this to uplift the people on the bottom, but that’s not true, they’re doing it to take down the people on top. If they wanted to uplift people, they would be educating newbies teaching them how to be better so they can win, (like you! ❤). It is those people that are stopping the forward progress of society and dragging the entire human race backward in the name of inclusion

I think it was badly worded. I think l.understand what the original poster meant as l do something similar. I freely admit l am not at all artistic. I have no idea about composition. My wardrobe is mostly black clothes as l have no idea about colour matching. To me a colour is a colour so when l am told one doesn't match with another or colours clash l genuinely have no idea what people are talking about and have no idea what they are seeing that l'm not. Because of this l don't do anything artistic and Amy world building ganes l play are useless not logically put together etc. So on the rare occasions l do vote l am automatically drawn towards the more basic one. I won't say worse as that is mean. Whilst a lot of people will see it as voting for a bad one or a lazy one when the other one is obviously better or more complex. I look it as l am showing appreciation and showing support to people that aren't good at it. I rarely bother doing snaps even though the moonstone would be useful. Why bother putting the time and effort into it when you know that the only chance you have of winning is if you randomly get paired up with a person equal to you and your abilities? Dreamsnaps is a very unfair competition

@mrStarInSky It was borderline spiteful. Knowing how easy it is for things online to get misconstrued l try to give the benefit of the doubt unless intent is obvious. I think the Dreamsnaps need looking at to try to allow people with less items, abilities, creativity a chance. Grading the pics on levels would be difficult. Perhaps this could work? Have different competitions with different criteria. Basic Medium Advanced. Horrible wording so needs work but you get the idea. A person can enter as many pictures they want in the qualifying period but only in one category/level. The higher the level the higher the prize/reward. So basic. Have 5 particular items and 2 colours. Medium Have 10 items and 5 colours. Advanced Have 15 items 10 colours, also clothing with these 4 colours and one of these Valley friends in the picture with you. Other stipulations could be indoors/outdoors Particular flowers or grown crops. In a particular valley biome A round piece of furniture or a particular room, bedroom, kitchen lounge etc. Having different tiers to enter would reward the winners of the people that go for the and put a lot of effort into it whilst not making people that aren't as creative competing against creators they will never beat. This idea may not work but it may be worth considering.

I vote strictly on theme and how much effort is put in. If a dreamsnap doesn't follow the theme, is a selfie, or has random items slapped down, I do not vote for them. If two dreamsnaps don't follow anything, I back out and keep looking. I'm very specific about things with dreamsnaps. 😅Might be a little cynical, but that's how I do it.

For Dreamsnaps, I also vote for the picture I like best. It doesn’t matter to me if someone is a new or experienced player to me, if I find the picture appealing than I’m voting for it. 🤣

I absolutely support your view on the Dreamsnaps topic. I can confirm that it doesn't matter if you're new or not. I started playing the game by late december/beg. of January. So it's been almost 3 months- I submitted 7 pictures so far. I have almost none premium shop items (max 3) and it's my third week of 4k submissions. There is absolutely no chance to know just by the picture if a person is new to the game or not. If you put in some effort, you can absolutely win 4k. You just need to understand what people want to see and there is so much inspo out there. No need to copy or re-create anything, but being inspired by something is not a bad thing as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. Absolutely disagree whit this post...

It was a harsh comment calling people losers. But for me to be honest, I am tired of seeing the same pics of people putting in a lot of work to sit on floor or ground surrounded by tons of flowers and lights and perfect symmetry, for me that seems just an easy as throwing items around. I like natural and magical. I HAVE seen people dress the best they could but haven't gotten sunlight plateau unlocked yet, I think it is easy to tell the people who try the best with what they have . To this day these winning photos i have never seen to vote, so who is voting on them? What are odds I've never seen a single 1? I don't get it. I have gotten 1 door, the grand door but I wish it was brown or solid, why green? But glad to have it. Lol I get new stuff every day, got the water pump today, very exciting.

One addition to the second part of the dreamsnaps topic: there are a lot of people over-complicating their dreamsnaps. People are going above and beyond, wanting to submit the most creative picture. However, this is not how the human brain works. These days, there are fewer people who have the capacity or the time to analyze anything for a long time. This also applies to dream snaps. People want to see aesthetically pleasing pictures (not the ones you have to explain to the audience), that are easy to grasp (good lighting, a nice atmosphere/surrounding). There are only a few people who can create an image that combines both (creativity and extremly aesthetically pleasing - I am not one of those people, but I guess I am decent at making pictures that are simple and nice-looking - nothing special). Don't overthink dream snaps; think simple. We can't change how human brains work, but we can understand how they work and adapt.

To the people who vote for the "worst photo" life is not fair, no one NEEDS moonstones, no one needs jealousy or a pity trophy. I'm bad at sports and science trivia but I do okay at dreamsnaps. That's the way life is. It's just a game there are many more out there. As my 7 year old says, " you get what you get and you don't have a fit".

Better give hopes to new people than old people. Old people already have a lot things in their valley and stuff and that would make them on top of the list. Its not fair for new ones who just begin the game have 0 votes, so of course I prefer give hopes to them than most of the others. But that doesn't mean they shouldn't be voted. Everyone will always have votes. I think we just need to vote more on new ones than the old ones

Well, on the other hand, it's kinda normal for new players to have few stuff in the beggining of the game. After all, the point is to play it! That's how you get more stuff and be able to do better dreamsnaps in the future. Plus, like Starysky said: You can still make beautifull dreamsnaps even with a few items. You just need to be creative. (Also, even with no votes, they still get 300 moonstones. That's not nothing) All that aside, you have no way to know just by looking at the picture if the "worst" photo really is from a new player or if it's an older player doing a lazy job just to get moonstones. That's why judging on the effort put in is so important!

@@celtifer And at that rate we would be voting for the same top 10% of people....I could care let if people spend every single wake hour getting their pic together......some people do not have that time.....or the items to make the pics that others have been getting for over a the past year like myself...how is that fair to the newer players coming to the game who do not stand a chance in dream snap? they only need to be shoot down acouple of time before they stop trying or stop playing altogether...just because a pic has every item in it does not make it pretty.....but one with just a sunset and less items could win just the same......Hell i even voted for one of a dress in a field of flowers....I vote for whom I wish to vote for......and you just made me want to vote even more for any pic that does not look as good....or goes outside the box

@@MrsOutlawCaliber It’s not really about how many items you have or what items you have, what makes a good photo is color, composition and lighting. These are all skills most people have to learn. You don’t learn anything by being given pity trophies for subpar submissions. You can take a great simple photo in just a few minutes or you can take a great photo that took you five hours to put together, that doesn’t mean one will be better than the other. By rewarding the worst photos, you are just discouraging people who make good submissions from trying at all, then dreams snaps becomes all pictures of three unrelated furniture items in the middle of the peaceful valley and dreamsnaps dies because it’s not fun anymore without those great submissions to admire and aspire to

I'm all about the commenter voting for "basic" dreamsnaps. Dreamsnaps have become nothing more than a popularity contest, where OG players throw everything into the middle of the frame to rack up high counts and get the most votes from other players who have also thrown everything into their own dreamsnap. Need a picnic with green things, OK 12 cacti and a cucumber, a pink fridge, a Minnie framed picture and Mike in front of the the pirate parrot perching by Jack's house in a sunset will dingdingding get you a ton of votes and 4000 moonstones because you proved to the cool kids and gameloft that you're just that good. So Mr. Star, be as mad as you want at the redditor acting against this weekly exercise of trying not to be picked last in gym class, but it doesn't change the fact that they're right.
