No, this is not used instead of intubation (mechanical ventilation) but with patients on BiPAP (non-invasive ventilation) to enable the patient to better tolerate NIV. Patient tolerance is an issue with NIV and having ReddyPort enables you to solve dry mouth, phlegm build and inability to communication due patient on BiPAP and Mask.
