For question 14 on partice section 1 how come their is a comma if the first clause is independent and the second clause is dependent. Shouldn't their be no comma then or am I missing something

Hi! I am doing the SAT this saturday and currently scoring around 1200 (plus minus 50 points) on the practice tests. Averaging 630 on reading and 580 on math. When going through the practice tests, I seem to always do mistakes around the reasoning part and grammar part (always mixing up the various signs when it comes to grammar). Do you have any specific tips for the Reasoning section of the test as well as the grammar? My goal would be to get over 1300 this Saturday, but having this being the first digital test as well as not really sure if the practice tests are harder/easier than the actual test, it seems quite unrealistic.

I tried the elimination method on reasoning part, but it left me with less time for the rest of the questions. For the synthesis part, I did similiar strategy as you not reading the text and just going through the answer choices and matching the answer that fits the question the most, which were all 100% correct. If I could boost my reasoning part (being 80% of all my mistakes there) I think I could boost my score quite a bit.

Oh man, you caught me at a pretty terrible time in my life. I was very behind on comments. But this is a very good, detailed question. Just wondering how the DSAT went for you.

@@SolLeeYT No Worries! As expected, I landed around same scores as the practice tests at 1150, but I realized that I made a lot of stupid mistakes regarding grammar and vocabulery, (getting lowest score in that category), as for Math, I am terribly and had no time for practice so it is what it is. I think if I got the rules right regarding grammar I could get another 100 points in the English part

Hi Sol I am currently studying for the sat test in May I need some advice on how to improve my Reading and Writing.I can only score between 500 and 600.Other than doing these test in bluebook and watching your videos what are the most effective ways to study for the sat

There's honestly not a lot out there, but you want to learn the maximum possible per question (because there's not a lot of questions). Join the Discord server, and review questions thoroughly, not moving on until you can say to yourself, "Okay, next time, to get this kind of question right, I should x."

Hello. Please can you help me? Your professional advice would be very useful. I'm preparing for August SAT. On that practice test, I got 650 in English (Made 11 mistakes but If I reviewed them with a good eye, which I did, but I kind of get trapped by answers, I would make a solid 5 mistakes) and 800 in Math. In the first section, I had 15 minutes time left with 3 mistakes. And on the second section, yes everything got harder but I didn't even have any time to review and yet made 8 mistakes. I try to use a method to solve vocab questions first and then go to 15-27 and then go to reading tasks. U seem to do them very easily and arrive at answers very rapidly. Can you give me friendly tips, on how to do that? I waste a bunch of time on graph questions, I try to read only the last sentence and then try to solve, to minimize my time and maybe I'm actually wasting it more. Like what to do? I need a guidance

On the graph questions you don't always need the graph but there's some exceptions There's 2 different strats you can use: A. Treat it as a normal textual evidence question, read the passage, focus on understanding the methodology becsuse those are the elements used in the graph and choices, eliminate what doesn't match and if you're still left with 2 or 3 answers or if you don't understand what the answers represent then go back to the graph. B. Use the same strat as before except once you find a convincing answer, instead of eliminating, immediately verify it by going to the graph and checking if it is true in the graph, that way your answer matches the passage and is true in the graph at the same time.(works best if the choice is at A or B so you can save time by not reading the rest) The graphs are often confusing so I just recommend pretending they don't exist until the very end Read question, passage, choices, then graph ifyou are still stuck.
