I was holding down the tenor section, my mom, her best friend the late JoAnn Cotton and Karen Clark holding down the soprano section- That night's recording was one of many annointed night's just one of our many recording sessions inside of Bailey's Cathedral- Dr. Mattie Moss Clark was a phenomenal perfectionist who's presence would light up a room just by her walking into a room-

I remember when we we recorded this. This album was a mixture of exerpts from UNAC now called AIM & recordings we had in archive with SOG (Sound Of Gospel-record company) and music from Bailey's Cathedral recordings. Redeemed was written by Iris Stevenson and was recorded live at Bailey's Cathedral.I remember the night like it was yesterday and the Lord came in and truely blessed-those folks shouted something terrible many times during the recording.

I was a kid in Memphis listening to WLOK radio at 9PM. It was the Bountiful Blessings Broadcast with Apostle GE Patterson. The music director was Stanley Patton and the Voices of Bountiful Blessing singing this song. Leroy Edwards and Tamara Lofton were the musicians..Bountiful Blessings Deliverance Church went on to make COGIC History.

I was turned on to this back in the semi late 70's by a guy name Peter Ray, here in Baltimore. Of course being a Larry Graham fan back then, all I could do was but pump it over the top, I thought I was going to be put out of the church for playing to secular. I knew then, Gospel music will get wicked from here on out.

These people new how to master music. They could take secular music and remix so that you would not know it. Now it's soooooo obvious that we try straight Hip/Hop right in the church. Now for clarity. This is totally Anointed and Ministering Music. They took the music back and placed it where it belonged.
