The skins aren't bad, the dialogue showing that they are still hurt inside and having trouble to completely forgive their friends make them human (and that's only when going against the other SG, which obviously isn't a canonic thing to happen, just showing how they feel). But it's obvious they could be much, MUCH better in a lot of things.

i know their feelings are hurt and all, but xayah is so mean to other star guardians for no reason. i understand why she's mad at ahri, neeko, and sarah, but seraphine and the other girlies deserve better after all they did to help her. Not to be that person, but their interactions with Kai'sa and Akali completely counter the impression left by the official comics. At the end of the most recent SG comics, there is a scene during Christmas time where Kai'sa and Akali fangirl over Xayakan and ask them for advice as star guardians. They have such a wholesome and silly moment, but here its like "get lost poser" and "wow you're too shiny and happy ew". I wish Riot would have more consistent writing. Anyways, forever love this AU

@@kitnal4143 I have them, yes they feel good, but riot was just straight up lying about them, they said "completely New model from scratch" while they 1. Still have old recall that makes no sense, 2. They still have dark colours + old marks that should only be there in the evil version, 3. SkinSpotlight datamined or something, that these are, indeed, not New models, but just New colours (chromas) for the old SG skins

@@artlover4444 Just when did they say they would get brand new models? They literally used the models that already existed, when SG Xayah ults and when Rakan's Q is active. These colors have been there ever since the original SG skins got released, they never said they were gonna be brand new. The mobile version had the redeemed skins first, so they basically got ported from there, also the voice over was redone, and that's all, but they never promised brand new models

Instead, as you said, they reused the color variant that was already showing for a few seconds in the original star guardian skins. Their animation recalls are still the same as the corrupted ones, which make no sense in this skin "variant", when they already have a perfectly good animation recall in wild rift, which they did not even port in. This is just the most baffling issue with this skin, there's way more. It literally is an overpriced chroma. I don't think the voicelines alone are justifying the pricing which is the full price for a brand new legendary now and 250ME in the future. If they wanted to release a chroma they should have released it as such instead of making false promises and overcharging the players with fomo tactics.

I mean, yes, the models already existed through the previous variants, but after a little digging, I found out that the voicelines got recorded a while ago, and then they were put into the Wild Rift files, according to dataminers from Twitter and Reddit. Interestingly enough. The whole new set of voice lines, not just the handful of lines that are available in Wild Rift, which is really weird, but I guess they had a good reason to do that. Not sure if they actually ported the skins themselves, and just removed the recall, trying to justify it with "a chroma should not have a different recall" or something. Either way, 250 Mythic essence for chromas is fucking insane. At least they gave us the chance to buy them in the shop, but it's still quite a sad price

I wasnt aware people had problems with the skins especially because theyre enetering the me rotation assumedly as mythic chroma priced things the only thing that annoyed me a bit was riku and the other one didnt get new colors so they still have the purple capes and the darkened main color but its a small thing

They were always annoying. Xayah is one of my mains, but her character is way over the top with the "i hate everything" attitude. Rakan is also very onesided with his himbo shenanigans. Even Vex is more nuanced than these two
