As I sat there watching this video on my computer, I couldn't help but wonder why I was more excited watching you shoot this buck than to see many other people succeed. I think that it's because in some ways, many of us hunters consider you our leader. We listen to what you say, try to implement what you teach and look to you for whitetail wisdom from someone who hunts like the rest of us. And when the leader succeeds, you in some way feel a part of it and the team succeeds. That was an awesome video start to finish! Congratulations on a giant! Congratulations Dan .. I was hunting for one buck only 6 years ago. I saw him 10 times while farming or observation stand from 500 yards. The only time I finally saw him while hunting was a night everything seemed to go wrong. I had doe snort to my east close to 50 times in five minutes. They finally walked out and a half hour later he came from my south traveling downwind of bedding areas. His mistake was allowing me a broadside opportunity that worked out for a lifetime buck

It gets tough. It gets depressing sometime. With all the " hunters" in the woods these days it's really hard to target a big buck and be able to get in there where there aren't a bunch of idiots. It takes hard work. It takes pushing and pain. Then that one moment all the bs goes away and you wrap your hands around him and it gives you hope. It gives you pleasure. It gives you facts. That you it! I did it to Dan. Hell of a buck. It Gets tougher the older you get. I know. But as long as they're is a beat in my heart and a breath in my lungs i will push on.
