For the hook when when they set in the position to swing their arms, it’s mimicking the steering wheel of a pirate ship. And if any of you watch one piece when they slow mo-ed the part when they were all down with their fist aimed at the ground that part was inspired by Luffy from that anime. I think the choreography for Pirate King is actually perfect and Ateez had a hand in choreographing it but alas everyone has different opinions. Thank you for reacting!

This isnt necesarily about love ...its the beginning of their journey as Ateez.....them basically saying we can go represents going the distance or making it to the top and the will you be my friend part is basically them asking fans to go along with them because they need fans to go to the top...which is why they reference boats and so forth at some point because fans are the means to success which is their treasure

They filmed both Pirate King and Treasure in Morocco, this performance video leads into their second title MV Treasure but Pirate King is their official track. I know right, such a banger for being their debut Lol. ATEEZ had a sold out concert or tour the first four months of their debut which normally doesn't happen with a new group. HIGHLY RECOMMEND REACT TO A GUIDE TO ATEEZ

Some of the sounds in this song, music and singing, reminds me of sea chantys. The dance movements are less crisp and have lots of swaying as if they are in a pirate ship out at sea. And the main dance formation looks like the prow of a ship. There are lots of other little things, that all fit in with the pirate king theme. So clever.

Gentlemen, it's not a trilogy. And this was actually a pre debut video. This was released on Oct 23rd of 2018. And October 24th was when they released "Treasure." They have always done this. They have always done a double title release. And the "Pirate theme" goes through all their songs and videos....they are all connected. Which is why watching their videos from the first one, "Pirate King" to now "The Real." Please understand not all of them are obvious and that's the point...ATINY love putting everything together. And I'm not sure if you have seen their video "HALA HALA (Hearts Awakening, Live Alive). If you have you will get this. If you haven't, please watch the video and this will make sense. There are two sets of ATEEZ. There is ATEEZ and there is HALATEEZ. This is important to the storyline. And remember a lot of groups have storyline. Like BTS, TXT, ENHYPEN, ATEEZ and a few more. It keeps the fans engaged.. always want more clues. Especially if the storyline is good and they pull it off well. There is so much to ATEEZ you have no clue...keep in mind, they also write and produced their own music. Their B sides are just as good as their title tracks. Not to mention they are best known for their live stages... a few shows you can check it their live stages, "Road to Kingdom," "Immortal Songs," and any of their Halloween stages....they have done one every year since debut. Check out their first, Pirate King, and their second, "Wonderland." And yes I am ATINY , and proud of it...

Redemption 46,ATEEZ Performance video I know that you guys have mixed emotions on this if you guys would’ve done the regular MV you might feel differently!? this is a debut song for them and it is part of a trilogy concept albums, like you said . so if you do performance video versus a music video you’re not going to get all the aesthetics that you expected for instance when you guys did Wonderland they blew that out of the water so to speak they took you on this journey with the flags , the marching band! Performance videos don’t really cut it I mean you can see the detail more in the dancing . plus they were dancing on Sand! do you know how hard it is to dance on sand!? I have been enjoying your reaction videos. Ateez is favorite group. This was their debut song along with their song Treasure (which if you haven't reacted to that one, you should). Just want to say it's okay if you don't vibe with every single song. Everything won't be a hit by them but I promise you they have way more bops than anything else. This song is the very first song that starts the pirate storyline so maybe thats why you didn’t quite understand and this is their debut and a performance vid not a mv compared to others like wonderland. For vocals definitely react to Star1117, MIST, and Turbulence other cool and strong songs maybe you can see performances or the dance practice bc there are no mvs are Horizon, Win and Rocky. But definitely react to the other songs mvs you are missing from the storyline like Treasure, Ilusion, Inception, Thanxx etc.

For their debut song this song and MV are amazing. This was my very first introduction to Ateez and made me an Army aka fan and I just fell in love with the beat (which happens for all kpop songs) It was this song that I found my bias in ateez which is San I fell in love with his vocals and rapping style, also my fav bit of the song is " will you be my friend" as I just love the way its said. The MV is amazingly beautiful and simple and I love where it's set aswell.
