Yes, it's true YG said he wanted and was making a prettier version of 2NE1 and that group is Blackpink. 2NE1 are indeed legends and the group who created the girl crush concept. They smashed all the records, won many awards and music shows, were the first kpop girl group to have a world tour. They were monster rookies, winning four grand awards (Daesang) in their debut year. Their debut song Fire and their stage performance of it was literally fire. 2NE1 went against the cute girl concept that was popular and changed the game with their bad girl/girl crush concept, a concept that many of todays girl groups use. CL was and is still the best female kpop rapper, Minzy was considered the dancing machine, Park Bom has the most unique voice and she achieved a PAK (perfect all kill) with her debut solo single You And I, Dara was known for her wacky hairstyles that changed every time and her natural beauty. Would you believe Dara is now 38 and still looks in her early 20's? All of 2NE1's songs were hits, even their b-sides. They even released three title tracks at once (Can't Nobody, Go Away and Clap Your Hands) and all three filled the top three chart positions at the same time. Their biggest hit and most well known song I Am The Best won song of the year in 2011, that same year they were named MTV Iggy Awards Best New Band in the World. I Am The Best has been used in various ads including Microsoft, Kia, Adidas and countless tv variety shows. 2NE1 were fashion icons, especially CL and Dara who are still invited to attend and sit in the front row of the biggest fashion shows today.

2NE1 is probably my first exposure to KPop a decade ago, when their song "I am the best" ran on a Microsoft TV commercial in the US. I had no idea they were KPop, I did not know what they looked like, & I was not sure how to google the song, so I tried to phoneticize what they were trying to say in the commercial & eventually solved it, as it came out as "Nega che chalaga", which I then found out the title of said song afterward from that lyric. And the rest is history, heh. However, I don't know much about them, I am not Blackjack, I am more of a BTS & Blackpink fan. But kudos to them for being one of those bands that stood out a decade ago, they made their dent in the industry. And even making it to the States with a sample of their sound way back when, which subliminally influenced many internationally, including me, to eventually get into SK idol music. And whatever their personal & professional relationships between them, I think it would be nice to have a collab (MV & live) between 2NE1 & Blackpink, if not just to help cut tensions between them, if any. Although, it's usually the fans within fandoms that flourish & grow any hate. BlinkJacks unite, heh.

the rumor is that the guys from BigBang appear in the clap your hand mv. the 5 dancers in white at the very end. 2ne1 didn't release many songs in the 5 years they were active. but every single one of this was legendary. if you ask 10 people what their biggest hit was, you will get 10 different answers. black and hot pink were originally 2ne1's colors.

2NE1 is a Legendary girlgroup who break the streotype of kpop gg we most known .. they are sucha original hiphop badass girlgroup ever.. 2ne1 is the only girlgroup who could pull in any fashion and hairsyle. At that time.. ( second generation ) most girlgroup was like sexy,cute, doll concept.. But 2ne1 came with a savage hiphop girlcrush concept with swag and rap thing.. Then alot of girl group coming with girl crush concept.. Blackpink.. it is her junior ,same agency, both is good! But for me 2ne1 has the strong perfomance live ever.. if you come to their concert.. I bet you gonna like them.. their vocal and band chemistry is very good.. they doesn’t care much about dance.. but 2ne1 and Bigbang is good at live perfomance stage.. their chemistry with the music band tho.. React another 2ne1 songs.. like their life concert perfomance or another MV I suggest u “come back home mv” and their “live perfomance concert”

2NE1 COMEBACK HOME is not a cover😅 its an original song that YG decided to include SEO TAIJI AND THE BOYS "COMEBACK HOME choreography" cuz YG was the one to create that "choreo" as he was the main dancer and choreographer of Seo Taiji and The Boys back in the 90s
