I honestly thought it was intentional. We don’t see him for the first few episodes, and before we see him we imagine this very powerful, terrifying demon type character but then you see him and he’s just this silly guy who likes ducks.

Unironically, I LOVE your Lucifer redesign! I agreed on a lot of points you made especially if you haven't seen the show! Lucifer's staff initially looks so dumb so I'm really glad you have it a more interesting look! :D I would like to mention though that Lucifer is not pure evil- He rules hell out of necessity. It's Lilith that embodies the ideals of Hell ^^

Honestly I would have absolutely loved to see your Lucifer redesign in the show instead of the og design. Like, he looks so serious and royal and it feels really silly and sweet imagining lucifer's actual moments in the show with your redesign.

i usually don’t like to watch redesigns from ppl who haven’t watched the show BUT THESE ARE AMAZING!! the greys for alastor is something i have yet to see in other redesigns and i love it !! along with the more drag elements u added to angel and the snake motif for luci!! u capture a real nice cartoony style for these characters i loveee it sm !!

i really love your redesigns, usually i'm scared of them bcs i don't like how ppl change completely the characters to the point of them being unrecognisable, but you kept the basic feeling of Alastor and Angel. I really love how you increased the animals parts on them! i also like how you kept the colors in them! And omg Lucifer?? i wasen't fan of his desing in the show but this design is so so cool (Lucifer is the exeption lol)

Hey, I love all these Hazbin redesigns. But this to me makes the most sense and is one of the best I’ve seen in my opinion. I LOVE these designs- they make sense, they fit the character the show was originally trying to go for, and overall this is just gorgeous art to me. Nice work

When it comes to Angel Dust, his design is more leaned towards his job than his backstory, but I wish they added some mafia elements to him, even if a little bit.

I don't watch Hazbin, but it kinda bugs me that Lucifer still have angelic looking wings since the Bible said something about him clipping his wings in exchange for a pair of horns and a tail or something along the lines of that, so I really like how you just took them out and enhanced his snake motif and gave him this dark maroon or whatever gradient on his white clothes which kinda and probably unitentionally represents his fall from grace and how he became the ruler of Hell and as a Catholic and a angelology and demonology nerd I really like this redesign as it stays true to The Bible and HH.

right! i thought about that too, maybe if they made the wings look more like a bat wing it would've been better, but other demon characters also have fluffy wings so i think they dont really follow some kind of rule on that. also im so glad you noticed, the gradient was very intentional so im happy someone caught that! thank you so much for watching, i hope you have a great day/night!

I absolutely LOVE these redesigns! Everything about them is just so... mwuah! Even if Angel Dust cut ties with his family and pursued a completely different career field, the whole family of crime and mafia thing would've been permanent impacts on his character. I'm very fond of how you made Angel Dust's shirt a balance between a suit, for his more professional side and mafia origins, and a corset to reference his current career/lifestyle and vibes. Alastor in a top hat is just. YES. I also like how, in this drawing at least, his glasses obscure his eyes and give him that extra layer of unreadability. I like the idea of him being a master of keeping up appearances and being difficult to read/decipher, and most of the time his feelings can only be determined based on how his eyes respond to the situation, so taking that visibility away really makes him more vague. I feel like it's also a nice contrast from Charlie, who wears her heart on her sleeve and is very easy to read, given that they're business partners and co-owners of the hotel. The potential vagueness and uncertainty around his feelings and mindset could also be foreshadowing to a potential betrayal in the future. I feel like canon Alastor's design makes him too... predictable? Readable? Idk, I just like the general direction that the potential of a design like yours brings to the table. And finally, Lucifer. As much as I like his canon design, and I understand the whole circus motif for the seven deadly sins, his canon design gives the impression of solely being a circus ringleader and not the King of Hell or a fallen angel. I also wasn't a fan of his staff- why would Alastor, a sinner demon and therefore a mortal, who ranks considerably lower than Lucifer and the seven deadly sins, have a more interesting and intricate scepter than the King of Hell himself? Even Mammon's staff in Helluva Boss is more interesting. I understand the significance of the apple, which I quite liked, but there's so much more that could've been done with it. But going back to the original point, Lucifer's design was nice because of the prominence of white in comparison to the... red barf on the majority of the cast, but in terms of actual character, it lacked... sustenance. Going back to what I said about him feeling only like a ringleader, I feel like only his hat properly alluded to him being the King of Hell because of the crown around the base, but his overall design lacks that sense of authority and power. Lucifer could easily curbstomp everyone in the Pride Ring and not break a sweat, but it's implied that nobody has any sense of respect or fear of him because... why? I'm also very fond of the snake hair you gave him here. I don't remember who made it, but I remember seeing a Charlie redesign once where she had serpent hair like that, and it was an idea I've loved ever since. I feel like, depending on what you plan to do for Charlie (assuming you haven't already lol, this is the first video I've seen), it could help break that resemblance. It makes sense for them to have identical features because they're related, but I feel like they're too identical. Same skin, same eyes, same hair color... literally the only difference is that Lucifer's a man and Charlie's a woman. We haven't seen much of Lilith yet, but from what we have seen of her, Charlie literally just looks like a carbon copy of Lucifer who had their gender flipped. TLDR: These designs are amazing and make me realize how much more I wish the actual designs did with the characters. Also, you've gotten a subscriber from this!

i agree lucifers design just never said or even looked like ruler of hell, I really love yours it looks gorgeous. it screams lucifer and it just makes so much more sense. With Alastor, I always love when people bring out the deer, cause his design just doesn't show it. as for Angel's design. I love spider butts. I don't know why but i loved seeing it in Poison the song for like maybe 7 frames and Angel never has it again. I was so upset. I love how they all look. sorry I just love to ramble. I would still recommend the show. even if you don't redesign more. personally, I liked it and I'm interested to see what they do, or you could wait for season 2. anyway happy day/evening/night!

if i didnt have prior hazbin knowledge, i'd never know he was meant to portray the ruler of hell. i understand there was an attempt to subvert expectations, but sometimes it doesn't work that well, at least it didnt to me xD with alastor i agree w u so much! i wish they gave him more deer features, they are so fun to draw. angel has a very pleasant character design, they could've made it a lot better in my opinion- thank you so much for the comment! i love reading long comments even if it takes a little while for me to answer because i also want to write a lot since u took ur time to comment! ty so much for watching, it means the world to me! ❣❣

these designs look great! also one of the less hateful redesign videos i've seen so good job lmao. i don't watch the show to think too critically about it, it's all just vibes, so it sucks that a lot of the fandom is made up of people that want any reason to justify not liking it when they don't need one. anyway, if you decide to redesign more characters, good luck! based on these i'm sure you can do a great job.

I love this show it is so good I watched it like 12 11 and it's good every time like for instance I noticed some details that I did not notice the other times I watched it and I think that's pretty cool every time you watch the episodes again you always notice this new detail that you do not notice before which is really fun and really smart of them to do so I love it and I love its equal half which is Helluva Boss which is also so good.☺️🤩😍🥰

To be honest characters like Alastor and Lucifer wearing suits makes the most sense, because Alastor likes to make deals while Lucifer… is Lucifer there’s two phrases about making deals with him “Deal with the devil” and Faustian bargain. Which comes from a man named Faust who made a deal with the devil which would became a literacy trope.

Long comment;; After watching both redesign videos, just wanna say I think they're all almost perfect, almost because the staffs don't really look like they work in one place per say. I don't like too much red either but with your Nifty being green-ish, I'm sure the red dress won't completely make her blend into the background (Unless you've brought up on why the staffs aren't exactly uniform then I must have forgotten) I also really love any serious looking Lucifer redesigns including this one. The idea Lucifer is all majestic and scary looking, only to be this rubber ducky loving anxious guy is neat. Considering he is supposed to go against people's expectations + maybe he'd act all regal in front of anyone by habit or something which might explain Lucifer and Charlie's strain in relationship (Since Lucifer is the unintentionally hurting kid kind of dad) I love each of your redesigns of the cast but I especially love Alastor's because for a guy who wants to be noticed, he sure blends into the background of hell. So having him mostly monochrome enhances that mystery whereas the red distribution is a reminder that he is a demon of hell and red tends to be associated with violence. Then again, maybe a bit of tweak is needed if we're talking about 100% canon Alastor's personality because he is also a "silly guy" while your Alastor don't seem like the kind who would be laying in bed, swaying his feet Overall, I enjoyed them :D

i'm not trying to be rude but when i saw her drawings i said... nice... wait whats with the lower half, ur upper half is very good but it just seems like the leg proportions are wrong but it's just a beginner thing probably as when i look back at my old art it seems like i did the same thing but other then that i think ur art is great just maybe not so much the lower half which seems not correctly proportionate but other then that i think ur doing a great job and i hope some light gets shed on ur art i will be subbing
