Peach with ribbons makes a lot of sense especially with the new game coming out where there's a bit of a ribbon thing going on! For Rosalina it's like you made an older version of her and honestly she pulls on the mature vibe better than the other princesses.

Yeah, Daisy isn't a desert princess. But 3 out of 4 of the Sarasaland Kingdoms are in hot/tropical areas, so that is indeed likely where her tan comes from. They tanned her up in the N64 era, but made her pale again in the GameCube/Wii games. At the same time, they said Daisy had moved to the Mushroom Kingdom, so that might explain why her tan faded. Now Nintendo likes to mention Sarasaland all the time, so it's safe to assume that she lives in Sarasaland again, and visiting the sunny kingdoms has brought back her tan.

@@eddie-rooIn Daisy's original appearance she had pale skin, as well as at least 1 or 2 after that. In Mario tennis she was given a tan which lasted only during the N64 era. Not sure if she is tan in any Wii games, but I know that she was almost exclusively pale in that era. Her getting her tan back has only started happening in the last several years. With I think Mario Party: Superstars being the main one. Since then most games have had her with her tan.

I believe Daisy has less centered games around her is cus she's the tomboy princess so she's never had to be rescued, but maybe one day they can make a game where we go to Sarasaland (Daisy's hometown) and have to save her town. Her first and only game where she needed to be saved was 1989's Super Mario Land and we never got to see her hometown since. I wish we could get a game to see it and flesh out Daisy more.

Peach is an absolute icon. She is the girly girly who keeps up with the boys. The proper mannered princess who can fight the dragon turtle that kidnaps her. Long may she reign! I sort of lament Daisy’s loss of the tan and red crown. Even despite the fact that she looked more like Peach back when she was made, the color choices did enough to differentiate Daisy enough to give her an identity. Rosalina does look like an OC. I think the platinum blonde would have been more Rosalina, but it’s a great design regardless.

Really love the Peach redesign, have a bit more to say about Daisy and Rosalina Loved the ruffle on Daisy's bodice and the green eyes were good! Not sure about the pants though but that may be because I just find skirts and secret pants more comfy than shorts and regular pants ^^" Rosalina looks really pretty and I totally agree with the gradient and the white hair, I was sad that you got rid of the empire waistline but I actually really like the top of the dress! But not a fan of the skirt part, idk I feel keeping it full length (maybe with some white or sth) would have kept the design more ethereal? Anyway they're still all very pretty 🌟

Although I would’ve added some more darker oranges towards the bottom of the design (it looks a little empty with the one big color), and maybe added the emerald green accent to her boots where the bows are and a belt that has the green in the middle. So that then you got a good rule of three with the center flower, belt on the waistline, and on her boots. As for Peach and Rosalina, honestly they look just fine for they’re designs, a lot of good color balance with them☺️

I think Rosalinas redesign in particular could be made into a REALLY cute cosplay. The top of her dress looks super cool, and with slight modifications it would work great with actual empire waist dresses (which I personally love). They would often have a more fancy looking top that then split down the front, starting from the underbust, and have a more simple skirt underneath (though of course the top looked very different). The star belt you gave her also reminds me a lot of a metal girdle (belt), which I think is pretty neat.

Rosalina’s design is definitely beautiful, I don’t know how to feel about the white hair cause it definitely reads as Elsa with the glitter blue dress and white hair so like Elsa with a Star motif. I think if you kept it blond maybe put in like white highlights or tips, or instead used Rosalina’s father genetics (Luigi) and gave a light or dark brunette that would’ve been a cool character design choice. Absolutely adore Peach’s design you came up with, the palette feels more cohesive with replacing whites with pale pastel yellow. Daisy’s design definitely suits her well, the train high low skirt is definitely the choice to go, and the petal details definitely points out that she would be called a floral name, her skin tone definitely suits her for being the Princess of the Sahara desert that she’s from, and the green eyes are the most adorable touch because it definitely feels of more variety than the mainly blue eyed characters we see. All in all the character designs are wonderful, Rosalina’s may not be my absolute favorite but it does suit her character well.

First of all, these were such good designs. I'm also an artist, but I'm terrible at redesigning (either I can't redesign a certain character or I have an idea, but lack the skill to execute said idea). I do have some ideas for what I would do to keep these three recognizable and have different silhouettes from each other. Naturally, Peach has that familiar look we all know and love (blonde hair, pink dress, blue accents), and I think you nailed a redesign for her. (The bows also have me excited for Princess Peach Showtime.) Daisy requires a bit of thinking. One she a tomboy, and two, she's a princess of a desert kingdom. (I'd also give her tanned skin and darker brown hair, but I doubt pants would be the best thing for a desert princess to wear.) What I would've done for her is give her a MUCH shorter reddish orange skirt (at least around her knees, rather than dragging across the ground) that gives her enough movement for her to run around, a yellow crop top, eye makeup, no headwear (I was debating on giving her a crown inspired by desert royalty, but thought against it), and tone her muscles a bit more (specifically on her legs, arms, stomach, and back). I'm also playing with the idea of giving her veils around her waist or over her face, maybe even a desert lotus in her hair. (That being said, I actually like the idea of you combining a princess's outfit with a prince's, especially the ascot under her brooch.) Last but not least, the Cosmic Witch herself: Rosalina. Another one where I need to think. She's a princess and a witch, so I would combine the look of a princess gown and a mage's robe. Much like Daisy, I'm not giving her a crown of the sorts of any kind of headpiece. Instead, I'm giving her a black, sparkly cape that stops at the middle of her thighs with pops of blues, pinks, and purples, looking like the vast cosmos. Instead of giving her gold embellishments, I'm going the opposite direction and having them silver. The familiar light greenish blue is now going to be on a sash around her waist, whereas the gown-robe hybrid I'm thinking is more of a cobalt blue leading to this purplish pink (also sparkly). The real thing I want to change is her wand. The head of this wand will also be silver and have the shape of a protection sigil, since she's referred as the guardian of the cosmos.

For daisy i had the thought of giving her a design similar in style to princess knight or even Cure Chocolat would suite her very well. it gives her free form through the use of shorts and high skirt off the top, but also allows for high boots that show off her tomboy and feminine traits very well. My boyfriend loves daisy so i think of a lot of ways to make her more relevant to the franchise and giving her an entire makeover is one that i play with a lot in my head. Side tangent but i think that the new peach game should go Mario galaxy and make the NGP mode be a daisy mode where its ever so slightly tougher with the enemy AI and puzzle timing.

All perfect except for one thing! As an avid Super Mario Galaxy player, Rosalina is left handed! In every scene throughout the game, she's holding the wand with her left hand. No issue, I know that things like that are hard to remember especially if you haven't played the game in at least 3 years, lol And also as a space freak that loves space and sci-fi, your version of Rosalina would've had me freak out and make fanart for YEARS. ... I think she's actually ambidextrous. I just took a look at some of the games she was in, and I saw that the wand altered from hand to hand. For example, when Mario first met her in Galaxy, the wand was in her right hand, but when he landed in the observatory, it's now in her left. Flying the comet to the center of the universe, right, but after the explosion, left. Perhaps she prefers it in her left hand since there is also concept art of her playing a guitar (she looks like one of those coffee shop performers with a black crop top and skinny jeans) for Super Mario Odyssey, and it was a left-handed guitar. This was unfortunately scrapped and replaced with Pauline (my guys is just so they could have vocals, and Pauline already looks like a lounge singer).

I absolutely adore Princess "Rolasinda"! She's got the ethereal aesthetic down pat! I do get the smallest Odette the Swan Princess vibes, but she's definitely her own person. Love the gradient sparkle! Daisy's tan skin and the bloomers are a great change, though I think I agree with your thoughts about the brown; maybe the same orange as her bustle might create more harmony? I rather enjoyed the pop of green, as it felt like more of a connection to Peach and her accent colors. I still gotta give it to Peach, the new color scheme and the teal baubles just pop! Something about the bows gives her such a cute and feminine look, while still giving her an air of nobility. The Smash Bros trim was always one of my favorite redesign choices for her. Well done, one and all!

Daisy's hair is more of a red/orange color than a rich brown. And a staple differentiation between her and Peach is the fact she is shorter and has a rounder, younger, face. In recent years they have brought the tan back, but I think you've overlooked a lot of what she already has setting her apart.

I always love seeing redesign projects like this. Even if I don't agree with all of the decisions and choices, it's always a great look into other peoples' minds and it's so creative and interesting. I think currently I don't really have anything I dislike about the _official_ princess designs. The one main thing that stands out is that Daisy's dress is WAY too similar to Peach's. Both Daisy and Peach had different dress designs in the classic era. Daisy's classic dress was the same shape as Peach's classic dress, but the design always felt a lot more different to me. Maybe it's that she had white as a prominent color, which ties into the whole "daisy" idea. But when Peach got a modern dress, they basically just took the same thing for Daisy and barely differentiated it. I think the modern dress looks better overall, but she ends up feeling too close to Peach because of it. Interesting thing about Rosalina's hair is that I think it's supposed to slightly resemble a Luma. Idk if that's true, but it always felt kinda like a round chubby star to me. One thing to note is that Rosalina's facial structure is almost identical to Peach's. While Rosalina stands out a lot more in terms of hair and clothing, her face is pretty close to Peach's. This is because Rosalina was originally gonna be a relative of Peach. I assume she was gonna be Peach's cousin or something. BUT in the final game, she _IS_ very likely to be related to Peach. But instead of a cousin, she's a relative of Peach's ancestors. Rosalina was a princess of the Mushroom Kingdom when she lived on earth, and it's likely her brother went on to become king. Peach would be his descendent. While I love the connection between Peach & Rosalina, it is a bit of a bummer that the 3 main Mario girls are all very similar in appearance. I'd really love it if they introduced a brand new human woman to the main cast. Preferably a character without royalty that is a lot more visually unique compared to the others. I thought it was really interesting that you removed Peach's crown and replaced it with a bow. Not sure if it's intentional, but it reminded me of the upcoming Princess Peach Showtime, where Peach will not be wearing her crown for most of the game, and instead has a pink ribbon. It makes her design feel quite different, and the pink really works well with her hair. Would be cool if future sports games continued to leave her crown out to experiment with ribbons and such.

You’ve given Rosalina a great design! Having said that the addition of the icy blue on the dress, plus all the sparkles, and the white hair read more ice than space to me. As well as next to daisy and peach (who look gorgeous btw) her design lacks contrast in the values. Overall they look stellar.

I love these new designs! Rosalina is my fav and she looks amazing. I'm glad you made Daisy have pants, in my head she is less girly than the others. Her skirt shorts remind me of Kyoko's magical girl outfit from Madoka Magica.

I do like Daisy’s outfit. It reminds me of a fancier overlay jumpsuit! Rosalina looks really great. Doesn’t exactly look much like her in the end, but I do love the outfit a lot more!

They look so pretty! I'm currently working on my own Rosalina redesign and this gave me some great inspiration. I decided to stear more into the night gown look with mine cause I like that silhouette. The white hair is also a cool idea, makes the colors more cohesive.

I think both Daisy and Peach are recognizable and are both VERY pretty! For Rosalina, I also think she is VERY pretty. The only thing that sets me back for Rosalina is her hair color. I think the blue outfit and blonde hair are what makes her so recognizable. As you said, the Mario characters are very simple. So when it comes to redesigning the characters and making them more complex I think it's important for them to keep their distinguishing features and colors. Nonetheless I absolutely love your designs !!

i loved the daisy design but also wanted to add that daisy used to have an older design in the early days! mario land to mario party 3 to be exact, its one of my altime favorite designs that take inspiration from her kingdom name (Sarasaland) and sarasa patterns that consist of floral patterns. I would have liked to see it but still lovin it! keep up the good workkk!!

Rosalina Def feels like an OC redesign, but it really fits! She's supposed to literally be the Loomas mother, and princess/queen of the galaxy. Also you keeping their canonical/fanon heights is amazing!! Peach def feels like her true princess self. I'd only change Daisy's skirt by making it shorter and give her pants, but that's just me. Keep it up!!

I like all the designs overall, just my brain was expecting the shorts to be longer on Daisy, and the blue on Rosalina’s bust a little lighter, but that’s more personal preference. Thanks for the video, it was fun~

I think the pants could use a bit more texture and detail. Otherwise you could confuse them for stockings or tights. (Which would still work for her redesign.)

I love love LOVE Peach’s design it’s so pretty! I really love Daisy’s too I like the change on skin tone and eyes. I really like Rosalina’s as well, although in my opinion she seems more iconic with her Blond hair. But again it’s only my opinion and I still really love the way u made her look!

One of Daisy’s kingdom is literally in the desert her being tan makes perfect sense and not to mention the fact the she owns a cruise line and multiple islands daisy is far more physically active then the other princesses so her having pants makes sense

They are all super adorable! Love Rosalia, new design is soooooo much better. I like Peach, cute, simple works for her. I like your Daisy but I think I personally would have chopped the skirt much shorter and maybe boots. Still a solid design tho
