Claydol is perfect just the way it is, But you're version looks like it would make an amazing regional variant. Also, the original head design is meant to look like an UFO. the eyes being windows, and the beaks being landing gear.

I’m loving Granbull, the color scheme especially. I also love Volbeat’s redesign! I had no feelings on the monkey man. But when I look at your redesign for Carnivine, I didn’t get the feeling of a fly trap at all. And oh that Claydol design- nothing against you, but your Claydol redesign activated MY fight or flight and made me uncomfortable. ee good work though!

I actually really like Simisear! I completely understand why people don’t, but I had one on my first ever Pokémon team (Pokemon white) and I gave one to the old man on X and Y, who unfortunately, dies, so I have a strong connection to it! Brilliant video also! You have a real talent for capturing the personality of the Pokémon in a new inventive way!

They're a bit too slender, very off-putting to look at. Very much lies in the 'pokemon uncanny valley' which feels odd to say but it just doesn't match pokemon's style.

I’d love to see you redo Illumise! She’s a beautiful Pokémon, and seeing one look more like a 50s pinup or see more touches of soc in her design would be awesome. I’d like to see what you can do with Bidoof or Bibarrel. I honestly forget those two are even Pokémon at times, and I loathe Bibarrel’s design.

I really like the granbull, but the lower jaw not being connected to its face is odd to me, and it's upper body could be a little larger. Pokemon are cartoony animals, so giving them realistic proportions makes them look uncanny to me. They're still great though

Even though I like the original design of Simisear more, you still did a good job on the redesign. The new Granbull isn't bad either. It also looks like it could be some kind of regional form. Volbeat, definitely, looks great. You should try redesigning Illumise in the next video.

I really like the change to Volbeat's face. I feel that way about a lot of Pokemon actually. There are quite a few that make me feel like their face looks too much like a cartoon human face on an animal's body. It's why I'm not as big a fan of Eevee as most people, but I love its more doglike evolutions (Sylveon being the only one that has a similar style face to Eevee.)

Here, a genuine review of each redesign! Simisear: I don't like the old Simisear, but I dislike the way yours looks because it doesn't feel like it fits properly. The Simis are... ok. They exist and fit in the world. Yours has an air of coolness, but its too OC like and doesn't look like a Pokemon. 4/10 Claydol: Your design is very interesting, but as a replacement for Claydol it would be wildly out of place, especially with the colour scheme. The design is very neat though! Perhaps as a regional variant this design could be an interesting team member to pick up, and it looks like it could still evolve too. 7/10 Carnivine: Carnivine is one of those pokemon you expect to have a baby or evolution. Your redesign adds just enough to it to make it feel more like a standalone Pokemon, although the head could be more trap like. The body I dont like very much, and it feels very slapped on and still a bit of a mess, the legs too. 6/10 Volbeat: I really like the new design, although the sloping body into the bulb is a bit offputting. I think it would work better with the original volbeats idea of having the light separate to the body, perhaps as a tail off the end of its abdomen. Still its a very nice sleak design... if you redesign Illumise to match that is. 7/10 Granbull: Definitely the best design of the video. It feels like an alternate form of Granbull and could fit perfectly into the game. I have no real issues with this one and would probably help me remember it exists. 8/10 iunno if anyone will read this, but just opinions c:

If I was gonna redesign the monkey trio I would make their hair cover the parts of the face they don´t use to emphasize the sanzaru theme, Simisage would cover its mouth, Simisage its ears and Simipour its eyes. 4:55 Is me or if you remove all the eyesof the original Claydol except the three of the center, change de color of the middle eye and make it look more like lips, does is look an alternative evolution of Smoochum? The redesign kinda looks like an owl to me. 6:45 Not a fan of the new face. Maybe make Carnivine look like an alraune, a woman like plant that feeds on humans from modern folklore? 8:35 The new Volbeat looks better. 10:45 Only add the Ghost type and that would be a Bulldogstein XD Maybe I would make the jaw bigger but otherwise is fine.

I’m a Granbull fan, but even I gotta admit that redesign looks sick. And the fact that it incorporates turquoise, my favorite color, I just love it. That would be a really cool regional variation, or even just a regular evolution, since we’re pretty much done with megas.

Everyone’s over here complaining about not liking the Claydol design, but outside of the color scheme I think it’s much cooler and more thought-out! I like the fact that it looks like it has two faces, though it doesn’t seem to be intentional-a smiling happy one and a surprised or sad one. I can see it turning his head depending on its mood like the mayor in Nightmare Before Christmas, and maybe it’s eyes change color from blue to red when aggressive. The other redesigns are good, but the only other one that stands out to me is the Carnivine-you definitely nailed the “mischievous or malicious grass fairy spirit” with that design. Much better than googly eyes.

These designs are amazing. I'm a big fan of your Granbull, Volbeat and especially Carnivine designs as well as the Claydol one however, the Simisear redesign looks a bit too weird to me. I can't really explain it but it just doesn't look as cool as the original Simisear. But overall, I really like these designs

Yeah I normally like his designs but all the ones in this video were not the best. Simisear especially is stuck in some human like uncanny valley, and in general these redesigns kinda just took away all the interesting parts of the Pokémon? They might be better to him, but I think from a visual design perspective they fall flat.

Rewatching this video and I think that the green used in Granbull should've been one that looks more plant-like, the one used kinda looks like cheap plastic in toys "for girls" and maybe the spiky collar could've been made in a different and darker green also...? To kinda look like thorns and enhence the fairy/nature vibe

I really love your Granbull design, your design for Simisear, your design for Volbeat and I like your design for Claydol they are so cool. However your design for Carinivine is cool but it's a little scary.

I usually like your other redesigns, but to me, your Claydol redesign looks freaky, not cute, and makes me very uncomfortable looking at it. This isn't because I like the original Claydol; I'm capable of liking the original and the redesign, such as Carnivine and Granbull in this video. It's also not that I simply dislike the Claydol redesign; I'm not a fan of certain elements of the Volbeat one, but I at least get where you're coming from on it. The Claydol one just freaked me out for some reason-triggering the "fight or flight" reaction you said you had with the original design. I suppose this just shows how people react to different things in different ways.

regarding carnivine, I never thought of it as levitating. if anything, the vines seem to me like they are designed for it to wrap them around a tree branch and lie in wait for prey to come to it

I really like the original Granbull, but I think your redesign is way better and I'd definitely pick it over the original.
