Mad that the maza region era has been going on for so long, and that it’s finally come to a close! When you released the first video I had no idea it would turn into the behemoth project that it is, but I’m so glad it did. There’s something to be said about long, steady projects that we can all watch grow and pour our love into, but I’m also glad to be seeing it finally finished. It’s such a relief to get to the end of a project, and to look back at it happy with what you’ve created. I’m SOOO excited to see what concepts you jump onto next, apoctober is a story I’ve been wanting to see more of and has really hooked me, but I know that whatever challenge you take on next is gonna be a creative feast, I can’t wait!!

I really appreciate the slight change you made to maizmen's redesign, and while I still prefer the og, this is definitely a LOT better (personally) to look at compared to the version you made last time with the brown stalk. The yellow/cream colour fits a lot more here and isn't jarring to look at, will happily use this on my team! Been following this for years now and while I probably won't watch much else on your channel until you make a possible 2nd fakemon region, or just make another video on a game I like, I will pop back here every now and then. Also as someone who is doing art at a higher lvl in college, eventually university, watching this series has genuinely made me a better artist imo, as well as watching some of your other videos on 'overdesigning characters' or 'creating strong creature designs'. Looking forward to what you do next, and thank you for making some of the best looking (and real looking) fakemon on the site. 👍

I love all the changes shown in this video! Chespika looks like such a cute troublemaker that I would love to have on my team! Liloriña’s evolutions I don’t have much to say, but I love the slight personality shifts for them (the moody teen and the red-handed killer definitely tell a story of an “entitled” character resorting to very drastic measures, but that’s just my take). And the sirens! Absolutely love what you’ve done with the sirens! Younger me would be so insane over them, let me tell you. My guess for why you chose a constant sepia color palette for the shinies is maybe old pictures? Before colored pictures were a thing, people would only have grainy black-and-white or sepia pictures, and maybe the shinies nod to these old-timey pictures that started confirming oral tales of these pokemon which were at first dismissed by skeptics. That’s my guess on the siren shinies, at least.

Well dang. Mazah's really ending now. It's been a wonderful journey! I started watching this series with the Super Self Indulgent Smaugust videos. And I first commented on the redesigns for Peroxotal. It was so much fun watching you draw Fakemon in an official manner, and watch your style evolve over the course of three to four years! I also love how proud yet humble you are about your art. You make good points about improving your skills and being open to others' opinions. This is something that I've learned when I work on my KZbin videos. Even if they weren't related to art or my Fakemon region Erblin, I got to learn how to handle my videos and make them palpable for everybody else. Before these critiques, I had text dialogue that was too fast to read properly. So it's important for everyone to try and listen to our fans and get another perspective on how we can draw art pieces or edit videos! I'm still working on Erblin today. And even though I'm hard on myself and get easily burnt out, watching and learning from others gets me excited to create things! And I have to thank you Jack for being one of those artists who gave me not only inspiration to create, but also motivation! Oh! Sepia sirens? Argyle Finch themed posts were colored in a sepia style. That's a big reference! I like it!

I absolutely adored the developments of the mazah region from the start and this was a lovely conclusion. As part of the contrast it might be fun to see you do some designs that could fit into other beloved series but with lower stakes like digimon, they can just literally be anything from over designed to under designed. A sonic OC would be interesting but you would end up getting a lot of that fanbase, for better or worse. I think it would be interesting to see you approach environment design from a character design perspective. My guess for sepia is that is how their depictions are in universe, as the locals have either sketched them out with primitive art supplies or they have just recently gotten film and so the pictures are in sepia, I'd assume the latter though as berries for colourful pigments would be quite an early development for artists. (which thinking about it would make for an amazing shiny design, like cave/ruins painting colour palette)

The first mazah region video came out on my 15th birthday, and this series has ended right after I’ve graduated high school. This series has been very close to me and I’ve been closely following it since the first video and while it’s sad to see it go all good things must come to an end. Thank you for this wonderful series and all the beautiful designs you’ve given us over the years. ❤

I actually loved all of these. Really glad you iterated more on Melamuse, it turned out awesome! And the ghost line shinies... Oh man, they look beautiful.

I absolutely LOVE the new yakina (oh good idk how to spell it). The redesign is FANTASTIC and you have truly demonstrated a clear thought process in the redesign approach. Stoked for what comes next with Subjectively! Mazah is of course amazing, but it was the art talent that realized it, and you all are only getting better and better!

Ooooh, the Sepia filter is because of Mermay..! (For context, Jack put Sepia filters on every finished Mermay piece after he colored them.) what a cool callback!!

The Mazah project is how I found your channel, so I am a little sad that it is over, but I am also excited and happy that you are happy with it and that one day it will be a playable game for all fans to enjoy and that really is a reason to celebrate, so congratulations on finishing your mazah region pokedex! ❤❤ I can't wait to see what is to come in the future of your channel

You could easily incorporate lore of Meloetta into the Sirens. Meloetta being inspired by the Sirens to the point that it gained its Psychic-Type after encountering the Sirens in Mazha. (Since Meloetta is Normal/Psychic while in Aria Forme, and Normal/Fighting in Pirouette Forme)

First, congrats on wrapping up such a beloved project! What an incredible feat to have pulled off alongside your community; I know you’re going to miss the Mazah region but the feeling of completing an endeavor as ambitious as this must feel absolutely incredible too! I think you nailed these last final designs, and Melumist was a particular standout of proof of your growth! Congrats again to you and the channel again and best of luck moving forward with your new ambitions!!!

Love the whole region, huge fan of all of these redesigns, it breathes so much more life into each pokemon that they go from just some pokemon I would never choose, to ones I would absolutely use in gameplay. The Melu quartet changes I think are my favourite, before this, I didn't even notice the deep see creature mimic on Melumist, but now because it's so visible and clear it's 100% my favourite out of the 4! Also good luck on your future youtube endeavours, big fan of all the freakazoid creatures so anytime those appear I'll be watchin' 'em

16:22 I love melumourn!! The details on the coral legs are amazing! I love the pink tint on them!! 19:41 I'm surprised melumist was your least favorite! I love how insect like it is with the fake eyes. A deep sea pokemon is such a cool idea!! Oooh ok yes I love the new silhouette!! It looks so much like a giant maw of a creature! Like seeing a Deep sea gyarados mouth! I love it!! This would be terrifying to see!! 22:05 I love the body shape here!! The kelp like hair of the final design is so good!! The sepia toned shinies are really fun too. A lot of people are saying it's to mimic the merman story which might be true but they also look dried out. As if human contact injured them somehow. Either way they look cool!! I miss the chunky feel of all of them but overall the design decisions you made are so cool. I love all the redesigns in this video. I cant believe you're done with this region!! What a ride! I learned so much!! Looking forward to whatever else you guys come up with!

Absolutely love the changes on Mayzmen; I think it's the dimensionality in the arms that's made the big difference, but I also like that each of the faces has its own bit of real-estate

What an incredible journey! This was a fantastic journey to follow. I noticed two details that stunned me. First, the gap in the silhouette of Melumyst between its head and back. That pushed the design so much into incomprehensible territory without making it unapproachable. The second was the joy I felt when Melumuse became the new Hatsune Miku with “hastune miku, you are looking so waterfall today” energy. The definition of hair, legs, and the connection made via arcane river imagery is captivating. Of course, I could rewatch this and come up with many more things that struck a chord with me. But congratulations on this incredible accomplishment! I look forward to seeing what comes next.

Love the red hair on Melumaunder. The contrast is great, but it also calls to mind either blood in the water or poisonous jellyfish tendrils, giving the design a sense of implied danger that the original completely lacked.

I started watching this channel before the mazah region project started, and I'm going to be sticking around far after it as well. I love all you're current content, but I started following this channel because the art was wonderful and both Jack and Clair having the most charming personalities, and changing what you're focusing on isn't going to change those things!! I'm exited to see where you're going next, and good luck with all that :) (loved all the designs this episode too btw aha)

Is it just me who feels like Yoronaqua and the sirens were changed from mysterious, enchanting, dangerous beings to more... sexy women? Getting rid of the blank space in Yoronaqua's skirt was a fine enough reason to give her legs (second-best improvement after Melumourn), but I can't figure out a different reason for making Melumaunder skinny with long red hair (worst next to Melumuse). There's still a lot of great parts of even my least liked improvements, but I feel like the Sirens lost a lot of the Pokemon feel. I'm curious as to if anyone else feels the same way.

I mean..that is what sirens are! Sexy water women. And they weren't meant to be dangerous..one is around humans a lot and even makes people and pokemon feel happy, it's ok to miss that aspect but it was never actually intended so it makes sense that was tossed out..I personally think they're still a bit mysterious and enchanting (this kinda stuff is all subjective). It portrays that perfectly to me and there's quite a few human-like pokemon (with that even being an egg group) so it's not really "not pokemon" feel-wise as human designs have always existed and continue to grow towards the style more similar to these sirens (in older gens they were monster looking but as we progress they start to look more human and even traditionally "sexy" I suppose you could call it)..just because you don't really care for human-like designs doesn't mean they aren't "pokemon-like" exactly! I was never really a fan of human-like pokemon spare a few, but I do like these sirens a lot as they're not animals turned human they're just human-like beings turned pokemon (as I'd call it).
