Redguard may be a mixed bag in terms of gameplay, but I think it's awesome that unlike the other TES games, it has a protagonist that has a defined name, voice, personality, backstory, etc.. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the usual TES protagonist being a blank slate that you gradually mold into whatever you want it to be since it fits an RPG, but it makes the story of an action-adventure title like this feel a lot more alive when it has a more active and vocal protagonist with a pre-determined goal and mindset.

To be fair, too, Elder Scrolls lore was still being established a bit when this game came out. Minor details here and there have changed. Nevertheless, I agree with your statement, Silvernug, and I can't think of any significant lore which would contradict it. In fact, lore suggests that there are several dragons under the command of the Empire (whether willing or not, they're subservient).

I'd love to see this game given an awesome, well-done movie adaption.

@silvernug Not all of the dragons were dead; Paarthurnax for example survived in secret the whole time. Tiber Septim was a Dragonborn, so he was able to command at least one of the surviving dragons to serve the Empire.

It shouldn't. TES games always had robots and technology. It just was rather scant.
@HasturTheOzonBoozer11 ай бұрын
Dwemer robots were a thing in Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind and Skyrim. You see the remains of Dwemer airship technology in Morrowind and Skyrim. Tiber Septim managed to conquer Alinor thanks to the Numidium, a giant Dwemer god-mecha. I feel like people who have a problem with the Dwemer tech in Redguard have only ever played Oblivion!
@Kitsune44X12 жыл бұрын
True, but these were hunted to extinction by the Tsaesci people of Akavir, whom had the dragon hunters which, ultimately, became the Blades (the Tsaesci are referred to as "snake" people probably more for the Blades' armor they wore, with golden scales, than any snake-like characteristics they had). What Akaviri dragons survived this genocide were driven to Morrowind, where food competition with cliff racers (sort of like seagulls, honestly) killed them off for good. Everyone hates cliff racers.

a lot of what you just said is merely speculation, no one truly knows for sure whether the akaviri dragons were truly killed off( akavir isnt exactly known territory) or if the tsaeci were the men of akavir (some say they were seperate peoples while others think they werent) and if they truly had snake-like charicteristics, after all, no one has seen one in at least a millennium. until we get an eler scrolls game in akavir, we will never know most of this infromation.

Retcons. Lots of retcons. Not here but in skyrim.
@magnusthered9635 Жыл бұрын
They aren’t all dead at this point. Dragons in lore used to roam the skies of Cryodiil in lore, there’s also mention of a Dragon in battlespire. And this particular Dragon we meet in Redguard is in ESO and helps humans and the Dragon Guard in that game. So it all ties together. And remember, even in Skyrim dragons were still around. Paarthunaxx for instance, and the first dragon we kill at the western watch tower was not raised by Alduin. But was alive since the Dragon war. In hiding. Same with the one in TES Blades. Some Dragons just went into hiding. Also Tiber Septim was a Dragonborn so could also explain why he’d have a red dragon. The last Dragonborn also has a red dragon ironically. This is like 11 years late. But hopefully with this new information it makes sense pfffft.
