I think no one gives Anthony enough credit. He might not have a high vocal range like Cornell or Mercury but his voice one of the most distinct and recognizable vioces ever.

my thought exactly. while John and flea are amazing and definitely key parts of the band I honestly feel Anthony is the soul of RHCP he can't be replaced at all. He has the most distinct vocals of almost any rock singer ever you can always tell when it's a RHCP song most bands aren't like that

I can’t listen to this song’s intro without shedding tears like a baby. I will never forget my friend forcing himself to learn to play it on the guitar. Early 2000’s, Red Hot Chili Peppers, skateboarding. He lived across from me and he would play outside because his parents thought it was too loud… so as a result the whole neighborhood would get a little afternoon show. He was so fucking good. Unfortunately life plays a number on some of us and my friend got caught up with drugs and is now wandering the same neighborhood, this time homeless and out of it. He can vaguely remember me since it’s been years from when we last saw each other. This intro haunts me from when I was a kid. Peace and love

I get the same way with Creeds song “Open Arms”. When I found out i was pregnant with my first child that song was on the radio on the way home. I cried to it because it expressed exactly how I felt about my unborn child.. I miscarried 5 months later. It was so heartbreaking to me. Now every time I hear that song With Arms Wide Open I break down & have a good cry, every time! So I get the feeling 💔 Sorry about your friend

Recuerdo cuando se estrenó este vídeo y canción a principios de los 2000 y ahora en 2024, me da gusto saber que vamos con ella rumbo a LA 2024.

It's crazy how I went through my teens and twenties listening to these guys when they were on the radio or on a playlist but never were really into them AND THEN NOW after all this time I have gotten really into their music. They have a couple dozen great songs and it's really cool to see their style of music evolve as they grew up and you can say as they evolved. While their early stuff is good, I really like their music 2000 and later starting with the Californication album. So many great songs!!

You should read "Scar Tissue", Anthony's autobiography. I picked it up when I was in rehab and needed something to pass the time, but it has it all - humor, drama, sadness, disappointment and suspense. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am rather upset I can't find the copy I once owned :/
@AcidulousEnvy7 жыл бұрын
Exact same thing for me right now, although I currently am in my twenties. I'd always listened to them and liked their music but never caring that much. Now I'm realizing they're my favourite band ever, and in the space of a few weeks I've become incredibly knowledgeable about them haha. I also recommand AK's autogiography, which I'm currently reading. It's really great.

I didn't like them when they were really popular in the early 90's. Then something changed in me and I started to love their music.

i think you cant still make your life as simple as you want to, there has always been good moments and bad ones, even when you were younger, only that when you were younger you looked at them with a different perspective, but you can always go back to that way of looking at problems!! just worry about being good and enjoying every period of life because all of them have their own beauty!!!

This is one of the first videoclip I've seen on TV. It was during summer of 2002 and I was like 8 years old. I remember that I immediatly fell in love with this song. I was only a child, but it was one of the first time I felt something like this for a song. It was an important moment for me, 'cause I can remember what I was doing and where I was, and what was the weather outside. I didn't know then, that I was discovering one of my favorite band until now.

Nadine Brener I know, I think that's never going to happen too. But for sure if John wants to come back, the Red Hot will be always open to him, that's what I feel. But I also feel that John is kind of proud and arrogant person. But is still one of my guitar heroes.
