Hi, re. the power consumption, apparently it only draws 100mA whilst charging the internal battery. Once charged it drops to around 45mA (several users have reported this). Still too much for connection to a motorcycle unless it's used every day. Also, the ignition cutoff will only work when speed drops below 20kph

An easy way to stop draws battery is to connect the red wire (power) and the white wire( ACC) on the ACC connector only.. So like that it will be using the car battery only when the car is working. The internal tracker battery can kick in for hours or even days depend on your configurations on the tracker this was a tip from a Brazilian I got. :)

Regarding power consumption, I have left my car parked for over two weeks in sleep mode with this unit and the car still started up just fine. Maybe a little slower than normal because of this unit and a separate alarm drawing power, but the car still started up. I would recommend activating sleep mode. Only texts and wired triggers activate the device, otherwise the gps and gsm antennas are inactive.

You reached the same conclusion as me. Great video and you saved me a massive headache going through the same process :D I will just use an old android phone linked with google lattitude. Get real time info as well without any hassle. Charging the hidden phone is preferable to a gadget killing the bikes battery. With power saver mode hopefully get a week out of the phone. Fingers crossed.

The fuel level warning is probably intended for people who are managing vehicle fleets. These devices can be useful for tracking, for example, delivery trucks. You wouldn't want some new goober driver to run out of fuel in the middle of the highway.

Not too sure what to do with a relay??? Garage door? Disabling a car if it gets stolen maybe. Sounds a great product with loads of features. if you want to track your car only then buy a lot simpler and cheaper product.

Thanks for the video. Got a question for you (or anyone on here). Have you been able to have it text you when the door/acc are on or the car moves? My door/acc status shows up correct, its set to arm, everything else works, but can't figure out for the life of me how to have it text, when the door is open/acc turns on or the car moves. Setting it to arm doesn't seem to do anything, have you found the issue by chance? Let me know, thanks

About the claimed power consumption, I'll bet at some point after you turn it on set it up and arm it etc. - it will go to a kind of standby mode where it uses less power. Even if it don't - 100 mA isn't very much, not at all comparable with an interior light even if you use LED's. If you have a very (unusually)low consumption1W LED interior light f.ex. it will draw exactly 10 times more than this device. With an ordinary 80-100Ah car battery you can power this gadget for over a month..

Hi there, cheers from El Salvador. I just installed the tk103b to my motorcycle. It appears to be working because it cuts my ignition when I connect the alarm, but the remote control wont disable it. Any suggestions? Do I need to setup the remote? thank you.

in the US, you want a RedPocket AT&T (GSMA) full SIM card, then get the Pay as You Go service, its like $25 for 90 days, cheapest plan. Verified works great . If you get the Tmobile Redpocket SIM (GSMT), the cheapest plan is like $30/month. I paid $9.99 for the SIM on the Redpocket website, however I found them for $0.99 on ebay, I assume it will work too. Bought the GPS TK103 on ebay for like $50-60 bux. Also, the manual is mislabeled, I think you want the 'oil' line to really goto the fuel pump, but I have not installed and tested that yet.

Hi. I bought this GPS tracker some time ago and have now tried to get it working. I installed it in the car and the GPS gets GSM och GPS signal. The problem is I don’t receive answer of my text messages. A handfull of times I’ve received answers but with a 1-2h delay. When I remove the simcard and insert it in a mobile phone my text messages will be received shortly. When I sign in on the web or the phone app it says offline and shows the grey dot. Do you have any idea what the problem might be?

I got one like this last week. Works OK, only snag is the GPS goes in sleep mode after a couple of minutes and a location request gives the last active location without mentioning 'last', only the GPS time gives it away ;( So, how do I wake up the GPS and let it stay on ? Now I have to send a reset SMS command to wake up the GPS before getting the smslink location.

Why the hell would you use this in your garage or anywhere else that don't move? You can get the gsm and relay part of it much cheaper.. If you don't understand the point of measuring fuel consumption in a fleet management situation, you really shouldn't make any more of these videos. Actually it would be much more helpful if you read AND UNDERSTOOD the manual - had the knowhow to do at least ONE installation yourself before you try to explain to others how it's done.
