Fun bite. Snakehead is probably pound for pound the best fight in my book but carp is a close second.

It was like reeling in a big red drum! It just didn't want to come up from the bottom. Thanks for watching!

Carp dont eat jigs and its probably starving

Carp are omnivores, so they will eat anything. The carp in that body of water are very healthy. Also check out this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l3a4hYCMqKajZ80si=biJcziPLE5glphuf

I caught a carp on my ultralight on a jig under a slip bobber in Triadelphia Reservoir when the last round of 17 yr cicadas was here. They go wild when the cicadas are here.

You gonna need a bigger net…😂

Most definitely! Actually the big net was at home because I never expected to hook something like that that day.

Were there any Mulberry Trees in that area? I believe at the end of May\June is when Mulberry Trees start producing their berries and carp will hang out under the trees eating the berries that drop into the water. Fly fisherman match the hatch with flies that look like Mulberries.

I have heard that they do eat those berries. In the immediate area of where I hooked into it, there weren't any trees really since I was a hundred or so feet from the shoreline. Thanks for watching.

You got that right! I was not expecting it to bite a soft plastic. Thanks for watching!
