Very cool. The 2021 SQB-26 says its "teal" but this looks more greyish in color. Regardless, really nice looking bike and it looks like it was put together pretty well. I love the "old school" styling and font of the lettering with the new school components. I'm seriously considering ordering this one soon!

There are two colors for each model year. The first model year was a White or Black frame, the second year was Grey or Turquoise, and it looks like the next generation will be White or Blue.

If you run the cable through the small hole in the front gussett it wont be so sloppy.... I own the 2019 black one LOVE IT! Have fun on it!

Thanks! I wrapped the brake cable with a 3” long piece of grey foam backer rod and zip tied (red mini ones) it in place. Keeps it from making noise when the cable bounces. Looks pretty clean. Having fun with it!

I don’t believe they produced a red Sqb yet. Would be nice though.

Over all weight of stock bike...any idea? I think I’m getting one. Reliving my past! Lol

I placed it on a scale and it came in at roughly 24lbs. Enjoy reliving your youth. These big BMXers ride so nice!

Would this hold up for a 250 pound person?

I have a PL-26 and am 6'3" 185, so no problems. At 250 pounds these bikes are more than sturdy enough to ride, but pretty much everything aside from the frame, forks and front end of the drivetrain are extremely cheap and won't hold up to anything other than gentle cruising. The wheels suck. I don't have anything good to say about them. They will arrive with loose spokes, wobbling badly, and have a $10 freewheel that is out of round (I complained to Redline and they credited me $150 towards a new wheelset). I added S&M 4 piece cruiser bars, an SE Narler stem, Redline Magnesium pedals, SE racing wheels with a White Industries freewheel, KMC 610HX chain (the chain that comes on the bike won't hold up to an 100 pound rider, let alone 250), S&M quick release clamp with a Black Ops Mullet seat. Oh, and I swapped those ugly, fat tires for some 26x1.75 Comp 3's. So, it's a good base to build a purpose built cruiser, if you ride hard. But if you don't care about buttery-smooth ride quality, wheelies, jumps, etc, and just want to cruise around town, then it's fine as is.

Where did you purchase the bike?
@jimfielding1713 жыл бұрын
Straight from the Redline website. They were out of stock when I wanted one so I signed up for the email notifications. After several months of waiting, I was notified in December that they were in stock and so I ordered mine right away. They sell out fast!

That shouldn’t be a problem I would think. I’m 6’-3” and 190lbs for reference and the bike feels real solid. If you’re planning to do big drop offs, then maybe there could be an issue. The rims seem to be the weakest link. Frame is so solid!
