Wow I didnt expect them all to be so close! I feel like they all retain the same amount of detail based on the video. The only part where I saw an outright winner was for rear video, which the 10TP won because of that OIS and SD865. I think if a consumer just wants an upper midrange camera performance for cheap, the Note 9 Pro 5G is definitely a good option since it even keeps up with the 10TP.

The Redmi note 9 Pro 5G was really surprising good except the stabilisation on the video.. the MI 10 T Pro had a slight pinkish red tone on some of the pictures but the other 2 didnt

Thanks for that. I think the problem was the hype Lu Weibing created in his presentation when he claimed it to be the best camera on any phone under 3,000 rmb in China. It simply isn't and many competitors are offering EIS on 4k as well so the video is weak with EIS only at 1080p 30fps. The exaggerated claims have left many real purchasers disappointed. Maybe it will improve significantly with upgrades but no guarantee. Still a very good value phone overall though that basically has everything

What really jumps out to me is that there aren't really any meaningful differences between the stills. Sure, one looks a little sharper here or there when zoomed in X5.. but what Joe Average is going to give a crap about that? I bought a Mi10t lite a few weeks ago.. and quite frankly I'm glad the Redmi Note 9 5g's main shooter doesn't blow it out of the water! As Frankie says though, we'll see what happens after a few software updates

Chinese Rom is 1-2months ahead software update than global version. All it needs is optimization. Just like poco x3 with battery life n heating issue and with few update its now getting better. Without video stabilization n less optimize software yet its still showing great potential 😮

I know it's tough to find a really dark spot in the city but maybe try some ultra low light shots in your apartment. That's where the IMX686/682 and Xiaomi camera software start to fall apart. I'm really disappointed with my Poco X3, actually my Redmi Note 8 is able to capture more light which is very surprising. The HM2 in the Note 9 Pro 5G looks like it might fall short of the HM1 in the 10T Pro, it is a smaller sensor after all. But it should definitely beat the IMX 686/682.

Mi 10T pro does have SD865 which has a better Image Processing hardware as well which I think is also helping here, apart from the software optimization. When you're capturing image with such a big sensor andcsuch highbpixel count, then applying all kind of software algorithm to get the final image, powerful ISP in SD865, definitely helps.
