It’s very interesting to know you also prefer the original better than UOMO Signature. But guess what, just recently after I started to wear the Signature more and more, it started to grow more on me and surprisingly the rank switched and now Signature became my favourite over the original. I think the Signature has more sophisticated and complexed scent and something more sexy & mysterious about it. On the other hand, original UOMO is definitely a big & louder performer, it doesn’t give me the same depth or sophistication. Especially when I intentionally over spray with Signature, although it’s a bit of concern in the beginning thinking that I might have sprayed too much, about 3 hours in, I started to enjoy even more! All the different layers of scent groups keep propelling and I can pick different ingredients popping up between the layers. I also enjoy the darker side of the scent coming through while I still pick either citrus, pink pepper or cypress flashing their faces through the life of projection. With that said, I still love the original as well so I will wear it alternatively along with UOMO Casual Life when I want something fresher and lighter.

I own uomo signature and I think is a really good fragrance. I'm my opinion better than the original. The leather note is very soft, but I really recomend it.

I'm just now opening up to sweeter gourmand fragrances and I tried both on each arm at Nordstrom. The original just has this vibrancy and playful vibe with the sweetness that makes it different from the rest of my collection. Uomo Signature is more wearable in more situations I think, but it's playfulness goes more serious with the leather notes that make it boring for me at this moment in my fragrance journey. This packs a lot of pepper and nice leather. Very seductive. Reminds me of Armani Code Profumo but better. Idk, but I would much rather sell my Armani Code Profumo and buy Uomo Signature because it interests me a lot! I love the aroma. The bottle presentation reminds me of Tom Ford Ombre Leather because of its all black and leather feel. I am going to buy this soon! Oh, yea! It also reminds me of Valentino Uomo Intense.

I wish I'd seen this review before I went to blind buy this fragrance 😒. U are 💯% correct, Uomo and Signature are 90% the same which makes Signature a redundant purchase for me. And from my observation the regular Uomo is a beast and has a better lasting power compared to Signature and I have vintage bottles (Uomo is 2016 & Signature is 2018). All the same no regrets. Will just look at the Signature as a reformulated backup bottle for my Uomo. I love ur reviews and I always trust ur nose. All the way from Nigeria with love 🙏🏾❤️

Very good video!! I own signature but not the original. I've tested the original a number of times and finaly decided not to buy it because it is too sweet for me even a little bit too feminine as wemen could wear it IMO. That's not the case for signature that is less sweet and this is why I also prefer it over the original. And you're right, it's a matter of taste!!

As always, sir, I dig your candid take on this new release, particularly a flanker. As a gourmand lover, I gave the original pretty high marks, though I never ended up picking up a bottle. Frankly, now it's quite cheap ($37 for 100ml on FragranceNet) so it's an easy time to grab a bottle. I'd certainly like to try Signature to see how it all works out (I kind of enjoy a gourmand mixed with leather, myself, as in Davidoff Leather Blend), but your review gave me a lot to think about. The detail and patience with which you compare the original and Signature is much appreciated, as well.

Picked up a sample of this and I absolutely love it. I am a big fan of the leather note as it's not straight up leather like Ombre Leather. The mixture of sweet and leather works for me. Definitely picking up a full bottle. Though from what I can tell it's only sold by Bloomingdale's in the US?

Hey sir HAPPY NEW YEAR. One of my favorite reviewers Steven :). Please answer a query for me sir ! I live in India(New Delhi) and am a collector. Now ,I have concerns regarding a few of my most favorite frags . To name a few - Cedrat Boise , Nishane Hacivat , Sicilly ,Rasasi Hawas, ADG Profumo , Aoud Lemon Mint , Tiziana terenzi orion , Dior homme Parfum (My Sig) , Tom Ford TV , TL(Have both in a 30 ml decant glass bottle) and Thierry Mugler Pure Tonka. I think , I will be able to finish all the above in the next 10-15 years LOL ! Just concerned if they go bad. I store them in a cupboard and keep almost all of them in their boxes. My cupboard takes care of the light, and heat - they are not directly exposed to heat,however, when it's summer in INDIA the climate becomes hot. Fortunately, the temp. inside the cupboard is much lower than the atmosphere, so I hope that too is taken care of. I will be really grateful to you if you could answer this! Thanks a lot

I got a sample of this and liked it but it didn't go dark enough for me. On my skin the leather was so understated , i'd miss it if i didn't really dig for it. So personally i'd go with the origonal. As always trust your own nose and how it works on your skin 👍 Top class as always 🙏

The original Uomo is nice to smell but a hard to wear fragrance. Gourmands doesn't for work for me although i like some of them. Boss The Scent Private accord fits also in that category. It has a nice chocolate vibe but not something i would wear.
