Steven, excellent review. Intense Cafe is awesome, but have you tried Starry Night? It’s my favorite Montale fragrance. A beautiful citrus rose that can be pulled off year round (imo) and is great even on summer evenings. It’s amazing!

I’m not sure if I’d call it a “freshy”, but the citrus opening and powdery dry down give me a lot of confidence wearing this in the summer (indoors or in evenings) and the performance is incredible for that type of fragrance. Love intense cafe, honey aoud and black aoud. Definitely gonna try this one! Although I feel Tiziana Terenzi gold rose oudh is a better take on black aoud. Very similar but richer and morr gourmand.

Would love to smell this one! Just recently bought my first Mancera (Pierre Montale of course!), Red Tobacco and I can say that gentleman knows how to build an amazing fragrance that lasts SO long! Definitely will be reviewing that one on my channel very soon! Great review as usual Steven, concise and informative. I'd like to bring up a point; I'm a Canadian and fraghead myself; I follow many of the better fragrance reviewers including your lovely self. However, whenever there is a giveaway on American reviewers channels, they're often open only to US residents. Which is very disappointing to myself, and I'm sure other Canadian fans. Afterall we are loyal followers and it seems quite unfair; particularly when our two countries share so much, and the close geographical proximity as well. Thanks and have a wonderful day.

@@Redolessence Good question. Before it was dc'd I loved Polo Supreme Oud. That beautiful earthy, almost benzoin base is amazing. Now I am in love with Haramain Amber Oud Gold Ed. It is more approachable for daily wear and I get many compliments. Really enjoyed your review on that pricey oud oil from Sri Lanka. I need a second job. 👍
