Great content. 30A/240V is way to go. Most important of the video; remember 240V is coming out and into your machines so be sure they are 240V compliant and ditch the stock power cables and go with 14 gauge C15/C13.

As always another great video, look forward to these! Question, any reason why you chose to go 30a and not 50a for your 240v plugs?
@mauriciocastro15493 жыл бұрын
This is a guess, but it could be because he has 3 outlets and wants to spread the load between 3 circuits. The whole panel may be rated to a maximum of 200 amps, so 3x50 would mean 150 amps, which isnt entirely your limit as you have other things running in the house at various amps. So the 50 amps could give a false sense of amperage limit. There are other reasons for using 30 amp breakers, but its on a case by case scenario.

Great educational video. I have a question, how many S19 Pro miners would you put on a 240v 30amp circuit? Thanks
@Naveed-it6wf3 жыл бұрын
But how many volts can you draw from main line? Is two 30amp outlets with breaker not too much load on your house main cables? As your house is also utilising electricity for daily chores.

I am an electrician. I'm just curious why this plug doesn't need a neutral? Just 2 hots and a ground?
@darkness86313 жыл бұрын
They don´t use the Three-Phase 230V/400V system with neutral like we do in Europe. They use single-phase three wire with 120/240V. (Look for Wikipedia, you should understand it easily if you are an electrian) Between L1 and L2 are 240V. Between L1/L2 and Neutral are 120V. In this System you can just grab L1 and L2 to get 240V. If you lose one Hot or Neutral, it just stops Working. In a three phase system theres a Neutral needed, if the Load on L1/L2/L3 is not exactly the same (symetric) like a three phase motor or a three phase power supply (with three phase bridge) without Neutral. If we lose Neutral with unsymetric (230V) Load, were fu*** We will see and hear Magic Smoke bc. of Under- and Overvoltage on our devices (Neutral Point Shift) So double and triple check your 5 PIN IEC 60309 espcially on farming cables. They old ones used to be 4Pin without N and just got upgraded 5 Pin Connectors.

Hey Panda. Do you use up to 80% of available power on your PSU, and then total your PSU's to no more than 80% of PDU capacity, and then use up to 80% to the wall? I haven't seen someone on YT explain the entire sequence. Hope that question made sense! =D
@WalterSMM22 жыл бұрын
I know you asked this quite a while ago and I'm not at this level yet so I'm only speculating but I would imagine if a single breaker was rated at 30 amps at 240 volts the maximum capacity would be 7200 watts. Therefore, you would want the maximum capacity of your power supply to total 7,200 watts as well as the PDU. If they all have the same maximum capacity, The 80% rule would just work itself out since if they all have the same maximum capacity using only 80% would be the same number for All of them. Bonus: for a 7200 w Circuit, 3. PSUs rated at 2,400 w each would fit perfectly. Allowing you a maximum usage of 5,840 Watts
