Someone interested in this may be interested in an Idea I have: Rewrite the ending of Huck Finn. Huck Finn is a beautiful novel, except heading south, Huck and Jim were deeper into Slavery Territory and more like to be caught and killed or worse. So Twain brought back Tom Sawyer as a Rich guy to let the story have a happy end. Well what other end was possible? Suppose Huck and Jim were adopted by some kind of Cajun/Afro/Native/Euro Voodoo Community in the Swamp? Who knows that stuff well enough to write it?
