Well I've looked at her family tree (via genealogy online. Don't know how accurate it is) and her family are white Irish and (further back) British people on both sides. Her father's grandmother Ms Chrishy is the granddaughter of Hamilton Brown who was an Irish slave owner in st Ann, Jamaica and Brown's town is named after him. Donald, Kamala's father (in his memoir) showed an image of Ms Chrishy that looked like a light skinned black woman or mixed but going by the genealogy/ancestry of both of her parents, she was full white. Her husband was white too so her son oscar must have been white and Beryl Finigan's ancestry is pure white too. Maybe Beryl had an affair with a mixed race man and got pregnant with Donald and Oscar accepted him as his own. Kamala has only a teaspoon of black in her gene pool. She's predominantly white Irish and Indian. Her Jamaican family are from high society, owned slaves and were extremely wealthy. In fact, Hamilton Brown was very upset that slavery was abolished. Her family ruled over black people, they were not black people.

I think Donald J Harris died in 1940. A child between a servant and white man Mr Oscar Harris. Then Beryl married another man and had a different life until she died. Oscar Harris married the white woman Vioris and their son was either named Donald after the child that died or Donald J Harris is appropriating the identity of the child born to the servant Beryl. I dont think Kamala comes from the lineage of Beryl and, therefore, Iris Finningan. The reason it's difficult to find the birth certificate of Donald J Harris, cos it will show his parents as Oscar Harris and Vioris Harris nee Cambridge -two white people.
