For the people confused, here is a break down of the things Meat Loaf "wont do": #1. He'll never lie to his woman. (0:58) #2. He'll never forget the way she feels. (1:05) #3. He'll never forgive himself if he and his woman don't go all the way in their relationship. (2:58) #4. He'll never turn his back on their love for each other. (4:27) #5. He'll never have better sex than he did when he was with his woman. (4:33) #6. He'll never stop dreaming about his woman. (5:31) #7. He'll never think that their relationship was just a fling, and move on to someone else. (6:27) #8. He'll never break the relationship and start screwing other women. (6:46)

I am just old enough to have experienced both of Meat Loaf's most successful eras, and knowing that he hit bottom in between makes the second one so incredibly sweet to have witnessed. I love that multiple generations have embraced the man and the music he created along with Jim Steinman from their hearts and souls. Regardless of one's favorite music genre, it's very hard for me to comprehend how someone cannot love this song, in particular. It is a sweeping and majestic masterpiece. He truly made an impact that is uniquely his. A true one of a kind performer. Fare thee well, Marvin Lee Aday. Thank you for taking on this incredible journey with you, and for providing a soundtrack for so many of us.

Ditto: In fact, the lyrics themselves explain the meaning of the word. Each verse mentions two things Meat Loaf would do for love, followed by one thing he will not - with “that” referring to the promise he made earlier in the verse. Some of the things the song says he won’t do include… forget the way you feel right now; forgive himself if you don’t go all the way tonight; do it better than he does it with you; and stop dreaming of you every night of his life.

Meatloaf is one of the few artistes across all genres that tells the story with his voice. You can feel the anger, the pain, the fear, the joy, the loss and the victories all in his voice. He’s a complete singer. Opera does that to you.

Circa 1995. I was twelve years old in Nepal and saw this on a rented VCR. Back then I didn't speak English, but it didn't stop me from knowing that this is one of the greatest song of all time. What a magnificently beautiful rock opera. A piece of true good music can overcome borders, race, color, even language barriers.

@The Yorkshireman ReactsI have to agree with you. I would never take anything away from Meatloaf (or the many legends I've had the privilege of listening to and seeing in concert). I'm a bit older than you, and I have been blessed to have seen Queen live....... twice. Both times in the early 80's, but I've been a fan since the 70's. I've seen many of the great ones in concert (Pink Floyd, Stones, The Who, Alice Cooper, Rush, U2, Sting, Elton John, Bob Seeger, Springsteen, Journey, Styx, Van Halen, UFO, Rainbow with Ritchie Blackmore, Paul McCartney, REO Speedwagon, Aerosmith, and many more). I can honestly say that Freddie Mercury was the greatest front man I have ever seen. Brilliant!!!

The song writer made the song ( which is unnecessary lengthy) very clumsy with too many wordings in the song. In same way, the video maker made the entire matter more confusing to the viewers. I think he himself could not understand anything of the video as well as the song. A complete failure as it fails to communicate properly to a viewer/listeners like me.
