Big men don’t like being called ‘big man’. It’s something more appropriately said to a child. Because of this, it sounds really condescending. Most of all, it feels like you’re pointing out that they’re fat. It’s ok to call a man Big Man if they’re 6 foot 6 and weigh 250…but if you call a 5 foot 11 guy who weighs 300 Big Man, you’re just calling them fat.

I've heard Two out of Three Ain't Bad and Surf's Up in high school but I wasn't interested in 70s music. I listened to John Mellencamp but I think it was only one song then. I listened to Michael Jackson, and I do like. 3 songs from heart but that's all I liked then so I wasn't interested in 70s music. So I wasn't into 70s music. So I didn't bother to look up the singer and writer. I actually just assumed it was John

@@elijahgiter9559 Come to think on it, Steinman also penned one of Air Supply's best songs. Jim really was the master of the power ballad...but it takes a special voice to take that music and bring it to life. For the most part, that was Meat. 👍

Steinman was an awesome lyric writer, part of the reason that he seemed to disappear for over a decade, was that the constant touring of in support of Bat Out of Hell and then Dead Ringer damaged his vocal cords so badly that it took almost a decade for him to get his singing voice back to full strength. Also while he did record several albums in the 1980's, but since Epic records was suing him, they were never released in the US (IMHO they're not very good, no Steinman songs).
