Redragon H510 Zeus headset problem that nobody talks about.

I did a bit of an amateur video to call out Redragon on a massive flaw in their headset that no reviewers ever mention.

there is an easy fix to that if you just typed redragon h510 fix in youtupe you will find a fix for it and its actually easy any repair shop can replace the part of the wire that gets broken

My main issue with headset reviewers (and this is not their fault!) is that, because it's their job on KZbin, they generally can only give first impressions, and can't take a lot of time to actually use the headset. Reviews like this I think helps potential buyers more, as I've actually used this as my regular headset for a very long time.

Sadly, I'd have to recommend saving up a little more for something that's actually going to last you. 150€ or so should be the starting point (probably a little variable, I'm too lazy to convert $ to €)

U did well it's like they R programed it to self destroy after some period of time cheap quality wires My advice stay away from Red dragon headset it's my seconde got broke from them I changed the first one for this headset & add some money to match the price! Never again

The single cord had stopped working for me after prob 3 months of using it, I even made sure to be careful putting my headphones down. After that, I used the audio cable and splitter it came along with the headphones and the audio completely stopped a few months later. I could not hear anything from the headphones at all. I've replaced the single cord with some random audio cable I found at home along with an audio & mic splitter my dad bought from Amazon... The mic still doesn't work but the audio DOES. I am being told to switch to Bluetooth headphones, but I am attached to the Redragon ones, very comfy and block noises. I don't know what to do at this point, but I am glad they work now only with audio. It was nice while the mic lasted.

Good thing there is a headset expert in our local and had this headset's wiring repaired. Now its working fine for me, I have it for 2 years now. An issue came up recently where the USB headset is giving off some static sound, that is how I stumbled on this video. Get it repaired folks.

Sadly, you shouldn't have to get it repaired in 5 momths of usage, so it's still an issue with the company cheaping out on a very important part of the headset.

I can't speak for their other products, but this headset for sure is not great. You need to be super careful with it's wire. They seem pretty reputable with other products, and their customer service is actually great.

I also had this issue with the cable after several months of owning it. So.... I switched to a round aux cable that goes into a splitter for mic and headset and it doesn't brake but I have a constant quiet static noise that changes pitch and volume depending on what i'm doing on my pc its weird. Also, if I plugged the aux into the back of the pc it stopped working every so often (idk if that was my pc/cable/headset that was the issue) so I plugged it into the front/top and thats where I get the static. And also the black ear covers started peeling away a bit after about a year and a half of wearing almost daily, its now been nearly 2 years and I'm thinking of replacing the ear covers from anywhere online that I can find because the flaking has got worse

Been using mine for little over a year now, and the right speaker doesn't work if I use the USB Control box but using the Audio Jack cable does not have the same problem and works completely fine.

Main issue is having to give up the useful dongle, which is the whole reason to use the USB port.

i extened it with the other one that comes with it with a convertor and just made the easily breaking part fixed in a place because I think the main reason it breaks the soundcard is heavy for the cable so having the other cable and convert it is the way to go

also i have another problem with this headset which is sound ecco people can hear what I hear when the mic is in the headset but when I removed the mic and placed it directly in the cable with a bit of a gab because it wont work other wise they heard nothing

I've been using the same headset for 7 months and my wire doesn't have any issues but my foam needed a replacement maybe because it's pretty hot when I use it and I sweat a lot.

Bruh, the cord on mine broke, just now. I was playing RDR2 Story, headset was working just fine, I took the headset off gently, and a minute later put it back on to not hear the full audio. Now all audio sounds like they're in a distant cave. I've had these for at least 2 years, maybe longer. Thankfully I don't need the mic, so I can just use the audio jack cable it came with, but it is sure a disappointment.

Idk I've had this headset for like year and a half maybe more and didn't have any big problems with it. The only issue I have with them is that after all this time of use leather on the earpads started to tear.

Just had this problem today, mines lasted about a year and 8 months, and at around a year and 5 months small problems started with the mic, and today the mic doesnt work and the audio on the headphones sounds grainy and low

my main usb controller wire is broken from inside and only 1 side of ear phone works now i am using the aux cable but the fun of the usb port isnt there anymore

My best advice is to try and spend more than the price point of Redragon. I'd personally go wireless if you could.

Its true, i have one, and only for one week, the usb cable doesn't work. The worst part is, they don't want to entertain you for about replacement. (I bought mine online). They would took days up to weeks before even replying to your concern. The headset is decent, but the usb cable is so trash, Its about half the price of the headset if you try to buy one, didn't buy a replacement, it might be faulty again.

I just switched from "Gaming Headsets" to headsets aimed at studio use. Gaming Headsets from my experience are all the same. Flashy and cool looking, but garbage quality.

By the way you could open it and solder it in for it to be better. Also, you can get warranty headsets. I had to break 2 headsets and of replacement headsets that I finally got one that is still lasting for me. It has infinite warranty because if the warranty headset they gave you brakes, they would just give you one. If the headset works for more than 6 months, you already know you got a good headset wire with it

Sadly, I don't have anything to modify the headset with like that, and I imagine most others are in a similar position. The main point is, you shouldn't have to modify it to make it good.

Durability sucks mine was the usb wire broke today witout reason the headset is good when I switch to aux wires all is fine but usb comande is broken just last about one year. Did you fixed yours!?

I've had this headset for 3 years now. I don't have a problems with the cable. The auxiliary input in the headphones came loose somehow. That's why I'm here. Trying to find a video on how to open the left earcup😂

I mean it is a budget headphone so before you buy anything budget you need to consider the consequences that might happen. Obviously it won't be the same on every aspect as a 120 usd headphone or above, it is a relatively cheap headphone with a relatively good quality. I think it can happen to any headphone in this category. My previous headphone was a budget item as well (a different brand) and i have been using it for 5 years or so, and then one of the sides started not to work. My guess is this headphone is not really great if you have your pc on the floor or places where the wire is at risk of damaging. But this is just my opinion about budget items, i just got this headphone so we'll see after a while how it'll go! UPDATE: 7 months of using this product, no issue at all yet

I've definitely found with my last one, which has lasted me since I uploaded this video, you can make them last, you just need to make anything with moving the wires as gentle and minimal as possible. My current one is just starting to get issues in the same spot mentioned last time, but the issues are minimal, a little static if stress is put on the dongle, or sometimes it completely stops working until unplugged, and plugged back in. I stand by my statement, the fact that yours lasted that long is not something I often hear from fellow owners of this headset.

the problem is the right wire inside the jack part from your cable is very week so it brakes easily i replace the jack part of the cable ( half the cable) and it come back to life

My experience with my headset started on December 2019, and now, almost two years later my USB cable broke with JUST the same problem you described. Right side's dead and everything else matches. The headset really is good, but the cable died on me so I'm currently using the 3.5mm cable. I have no idea if there's a cable I could buy that would replace this USB to 3.5 adapter since I don't want to step on the same rock again

That's mainly an issue with Windows 10. The USB sound system is constantly flawed like that. Downloading your headset's drivers can sometimes help

All of my PC's audio ports are a lil bad, so I'm forced to go USB. Fact is, I expect the entirety of the product I purchased to work, not just part of it. If you want comfort and good sound quality, I suggest you stop buying gaming headsets.

This is true as hell, this headphone absolutely does NOT have good durability. The single cord keeps rolling up, and now I have to activate my warranty because after i unrolled the single cord and plugged it on, the microphone decided to stop working and just blast static sound.

Front USB port was the source for a lot of sound quality issues, but the dongle was still a weakpoint in this headset's design. Headset would flat out not work in any USB port once that dongle broke

Litrally just plugged in the headset brand new and the left earcup dosnt work. You can get the left earcup to work by wiggling the wire round but then the right earcup stops working😂

most gaming headsets that have a usb adapter that says 7.1 surround sound is just a cheap $2 cable from china which is why they all fail eventually no matter which brand tbh. You could always get extended warranty to get them replaced but that doesnt really fix the problem tho. As for the USB cable, aka the 7.1 gimmic cable, the sound is just reverb in all of your audio making it sound really bad like having a tin can in between your ears. id honestly just buy the sound blaster g4 and use the regular headphone cable and call it a day.

All in all, a bad company. When I tried to get a replacement, the first time around, I got sent a used product. Keep in mind, this was the beginning of the pandemic, when we didn't know much, so being send a used headset was distressing.

No, it's 100% a problem with the wire. When it started to break, one side of the headphones would go out when I moved the wire.
