Sorry no update yet. However the principle remains the same. If you’re paying a premium for an offset, you Should have a good reason why.

The concept of the break-even point is your unique contribution to the 'redraw vs offset' debate. I find this very insightful. Can I request that you do a similar comparison with the break-even point for the case of 1) a PPOR-turned IP and 2) an IP from the get-go?

Thanks so much! Glad it helped. That is an interesting concept for a video and one that I have calculated in the past. The income tax concepts play a big part and variables of growth and income can result in many variations. I will think about it some more.

Thanks for watching. It really depends on the balance of money you intend on keeping in the offset, the length of time you will keep it there, and what you do with the property long term. Money from salary does help but it depends how much you are saving from your salary each pay and how long you will keep it in the offset.
