I saw a film about Frida recently and was just so struck. As someone who also suffered from chronic pain and chronic illness, I really admire how she turned her pain into beauty, and she did her best as a revolutionary to make the lives of those around her better. Anyway, thank you for the lesson, and your iteration is wonderful!

Ah the icon the legend and Frida Kahlo too!😍 absolutely love this. Also really love seeing how inspired and excited you were for this video. This series of classic art in my style is one of my favourites. Have you seen Salma Hayek play Frida Kahlo? I really enjoyed that depiction of her life. Frida was a true warrior, someone who loved so dearly and felt so deeply. Such a great choice this month as well since it is international woman’s month and Frida was a true feminist.

Great vid. Frida was an inspiration for life, for art, for gender nonconforming ppl. Studies of her medical records & her own self reports of her pain & symptoms, many medical professionals believe she lived with Fibromyalgia, as well. There is a center dedicated to Frida Kahlo in Oregon that used to be the leading Fibromyalgia center in the PNW. Now it's a center dedicated to the chronic pain condition & named for Frida.

I really love Frida's work. As someone else with chronic pain, I love the Broken Column picture you showed towards the beginning. I also really like that she was likely bi and polyamorous (though it's impossible to know if she'd have used those words exactly for herself).
