Rece Hinds needs a 300 millions 15 year contract, build him a statue as well, retire jersey, buy him a car and house, and let him get a ownership in the team

I second this, but he should also eat and drink free within 1500 miles of Cincinnati

The only move the Reds need to make at the trading deadline is getting a new third base coach

Reds are making a run at .500 again. Prediction is they will split these last two with the Marlins before the ASG. I remember a few years ago the Reds went into the ASG break after sweeping Milwaukee in Milwaukee. They came back right after and got swept at home by Milwaukee. This is the SAME type of team now. Good teams, good scouting, shuts the door on their offense quickly. Since they don't know how to move runners, sacrifice, they are not good in close games.

And we thought De La Cruz was going to be the future of our franchise. Hinds might challenge him for that spot.

Jazz has always proven to be a defensive liability. That combined with his career .248 batting average (.213 with RISP), he's just another over-played and overpaid player.

Need to see more of Rece Hinds, he is historically a low average minor league hitter. Translation is experts are expecting his recent run to come to a screeching halt. I hope not like all Reds fans.

Last yr in AA he hit close to .280 his only problem is his strikeout rate imo

Have loved the Reds since the early 70’s, and love seeing them as contenders again, but the black uniforms really suck and should go…that is the Pirates’ color, not Cincy’s!

They are in 3rd place and only 2.5 games behind the Cards in second…..
@bigj61432 ай бұрын
@jhchinn some just do not understand that this team is closer to last place than first place. As long as those extra base hits keep coming which is or should be aided by the schedule they will win some. Homestand of Tigers, Rockies, and Marlins helps. Unless you get swept by Detroit after sweeping the Yankees.

Personally, and I am just sharing my own opinion, I will not be interested in the All-Star Game or Home Run Derby. The game is meaningless as the team that fights all season for the best record should and has earned home field if they make it to the World Series, the Home Run Derby is pro athletes hitting fat pitches 400 plus feet so fans can oo and aw. The fact is the game has become an individual showcase for money and prestige. How about a skill competition like for instance you place a runner at 3rd base, see if the hitter can score the runner from 3rd. They can sacrifice, bunt, fly ball to the outfield. You require infielders at 1st and 3rd to play even with the base, 2b and SS to play halfway in, OF can play shallow, half Umpires to call balls and strikes, special guest star Joe West or Angel Hernandez, just to see if the runner can be scored. Manufacturing runs, a lost art. Had to outlaw the shift, and put runners at 2nd in extra innings because guys cannot handle the bat. Don't want pitchers to dominate that is too boring right? Pitchers can't do a dumb dance, a hop hop shuffle, put on a goofy hat after a strikeout in the dugout.
