Some real beautiful corals! Nice.👍 I did the exact same thing using Chemiclean. After the the 2nd time didn’t do much...I left it in for a week the 3rd time. Great to hear someone else found success that way too. Cheers.

What a nice KISS tank. Love his view on of you don't have a couple hours to do maintenance a week, you probably shouldn't have a tank.

Very nice tank but that blue hippo Tang looks like he's seen better days my blue tang is 15 years old and still doing good

beautiful tank!!! i would say the cyano is due to lack of nutrients in the system or nutrient swings. try turning the skimmer off for a few days in these outbreaks. Most skimmers are too aggressive for our systems. I've always swore that its not just the chemi clean stopping the outbreak but actually turning the skimmer off.

Sometimes i even wonder why running a skimmer. Having to add nutricions is because of your skimmer.

Interesting how he can get those acro's to color up and grow so well under such minimal lighting. Has he ever done a par test on his tank to see how much they are getting?

have the same tank. tricky to get the flow to the far end so I can appreciate powerhead placement :) Would consider shifting that tang? looks fairly large for a 4ft tank

Mike palletta advocates it in a number of his talks/interviews.. he specifically mentions it clearing up HLLE a few times..

Miserable looking hippo tang in a tank too small for it also, IMO.
